ruilin96
I was hoping Lockwood would be the prospect going back but I guess you have to give up quality for quality. Pearson-Horvat-Toffoli could be a killer line if we make the playoffs.
Cargo
This sounds good. Upgrade on the second line. He was effective with Pearson before. Schaller is gone, and Madden was always questionable as to whether he’d come, or even be NHL ready.

Jim must've been feeling the heat for some of our late performances. It’s not always about winning the Stanley Cup right away, but part of it is learning to win in the playoff. Think Tyfoli helps us potentially going further in the playoffs, whether we keep him or not. But as always no guarantee we make it past the first, still i think it’s a good investment in potential playoff experience.
Smashian Kassian
Getting away from what we traded. You definitely like Toffoli as a player. Solidifies our top 9. Don't know how we can re-sign him, Tanev & Markstrom now though.
canuckels
We all have to remember who we have in the pipeline. And Toffoli has Chem with Pearson. I don’t have any further comment at this time I’m trying to soak this in.

In terms of hits, he's about smack dab average on the Kings. Not soft, but not Tyler Motte either.
billabong
Great deal! don’t overate a 3rd round pick who hasnt proven anything at the pro level We got more skill and depth in the top 6 bye schaller! Bert Diesel
So glad, they didn't trade Hoglander, Lind and especialy Podkolzin. They were dealing from a position of strength with a lot of forward prospects. It still hurts to lose Madden and I don't see any chance they could resign Toffoli with their cap issues. I like Toffoli as a player, and a fit despite his down year. If he re-signs then its good, if not... then its not a good move. Toffoli isn't pushing this team any closer to serious contention. He is pushing harder than Tim Schaller and the absent Ferlund. We have enough small players on our team. Madden was expendable and wasn’t even likely to make the team anyways. 2

Let’s hope Madden plays 4 years in North-Eastern and then bail the Kings to sign with us. One can dream right?
VegasCanuck
Apparently, Benning really thinks we're ready to compete. We're giving up a lot, I wonder if we've already had discussions about resigning him? Would seem strange to give up this much for just a rental.
hatedkid666
Man this is too much too soon. Canucks are burying themselves of building an actual contender

I think this is the type of trade that helps teams take that next step. Gonna need to ship some guys out though holy.
