An NHL GM’s job is never easy, but I’d honestly be looking to resign Toffoli before the NHL draft, while moving Brock or Jake at the draft for a 1st (to recoup the 1st lost in the Miller deal while clearing cap space).

What is a GM's job?

Lots of time to think about this game before they take on Boston.

They played well.

TT looked to fit in.

Marky didn't Marky quite like normal but wasn't bad.

We gotta fight for every inch. On to the next.

Get rid of the god damn shootout.

the shootout was not the reason for the final score. the canucks got pretty much  what they deserved in this one.

Minny is 7-3 in their last 10 I think.  They're playing very well right now.  They've got nothing to lose, no pressure and it shows.  Still the Canucks handled them quite easily.  They are in a "not getting the bounces" stage right now and a cpl bad shifts and a cpl bad bounces was all it took.

Petey is going through another bout of low confidence right now.  Hes trying to do too much and, consequently, he's not doing much at all.  Putting TT on that line was a great move, as he showed his veteran experience last night.  He and JT showed some good chemistry and carried that line.  They give Petey a little wiggle room to find his game.

I wouldn't mind seeing Mac on his line for a game or two. Tell him to Dave Semenko anything that moves. Every little chip shot Petie  gets.

JT Miller and Hughes are beauties!!!

Toffoli had a solid first game...

....there are a lot of veteran passengers on this team.

that's all I got...oh yeah, trading for Simmonds will be a huge MISTAKE!

You've seen how a player past his prime performs in LE....it will be no different with Simmonds (he may have been good a few years ago when he was full of piss and vinegar, but those days have passed)....just trying to save JB's job...lol

yeah and in the past, this is about the time of year that Jake's production disappears.

Hughes and Miller are the best players on this team.

Bo and Petey need to play with a little more fire, especially Bo. He would always drive the net, looked like a beast last season. Way too casual this season.

Petey took a ton of abuse from Suter and Foligno. He got clipped by Dumba, cross checked in the face while driving the net, high sticked as well- all of which not called. He is likely banged up and frustrated.

...seen the coasting to the bench (a la Sedin style, in their last couple years)....really bad change by that line that led to a goal (after being dominated in the Dzone by Minnie)....also, saw the coasting on the back check....100% agree, he needs to play with fire a la Martin StLouis style....talkin about Bo

We lost - in a shoot out.

And 80% of this forums contributors are calling for heads to roll

You do know - even Boston and Washington lose games. This is not exclusive to just us.

The team will figure it out - they are learning and they are improving. We are quite an upgrade over last years Canucks

Have you already forgotten the years of Megna and Chaput?

Count your blessing there is an entertaining game to watch

Green’s head is on the block.

? they outshot MIN 21-7 5 on 5. If not for a bad bounce off Stecher its 2 pts and on to the next.

Can't see it Alf. I wish they'd move on from Newell tho, he's clinging to that PP system like grim death. Its actually a momentum killer now.

Which was winnable, if the right players had been selected. Toffoli is 1 for 12 in shootouts, yet Green throws him out 3rd, and doesn't even send out Quinn.

If choices made continue to result in losses, heads will roll if the team falls out of playoff contention.

Amazing statistic.

Yet, they seemingly come out flat nearly half the time, which was an issue last year.

Unnecessary whataboutism.

This team isn't going to go far if they can't keep the puck out of their net. They are almost 3 GAA lmao. Sorry; not happening this year boys

Boys played decently last night, a couple of unlucky bounces away from coming back and winning against another trap specialist team. Full credit to Motte "beast mode" too.
