canuck2288
I just can’t get over just how talented Hughes is he has such speed and skill it allows him to take offensive risks knowing with just a few strides he can get back into position the offensive players on opposing teams just can’t track him down his vision and hockey iq is at an elite level and the kid is a rookie my only fear is that he starts to become a huge target as games become bigger from here on we need to have zero tolerance if people take cheap shots and they would be cheap shots because nobody can catch up and corner the kid legally what a gem JB and crew found Edited February 23, 2020 by canuck2288 1 2
canuck2288
I have watched EP closely ever since he arrived and one thing stands out and imo separates him from other young superstars he was taught to play a complete game at a young age. Something we have gotten away from in Canada. Our system encourages goals and offensive stars. It’s what hockey parents frankly want to see EP constantly is the first guy back and very rarely is his check open in the d zone. He plays a complete game do yourself a favour and track him during entire shift and you will see what I mean
yes we can nucks
Gee I feel bad that we ran up the score on the poor tired cubs on their third game in 4 nights. After all they only scored 4 on us in the same situation in Boston.
Popular Post -DLC-
Well that was fun. Watching Boston try to do their dirty then have to slink away with their tails between their legs when it didn't work. Whining at the refs because when all else fails that's their plan B. Every single Canuck was flying out there and they just didn't quit - they kept coming at the Bruins. Relentless. I'm sure going to miss Stech if he goes....he just brings so much energy. He's a warrior and all heart and I feel that he'd be missed beyond what people imagine. This team really does "click" when they're all in and fully engaged...chemistry's a big part of that. Not much more tinkering please. Hilarious that now we have to hear of a "tired team on the road"...funny, that excuse never holds water when it's our guys. So ... no. Top team in the league looked like trash. Hate that Boston still can get away with so much...the refs schmoozing with them. And of course BM finds success in the league...he's got a giant tree trunk that slams anyone who gets within 3 feet of his nose. And refs in his back pocket. Chara...washed up has been pylon. Zero respect for how the Bruins play. None at all. Crowd was AWESOME...the chant of "WE WANT 10" was of playoff proportion. Go home, Boston you're drunk. Take your classless fans with you (we had an adventure of a game with two who just didn't understand how to do life...straight out of a SNL skit). So preppy and dumb. I was 2 seconds away from getting thrown out of the rink because a hair tie slingshot was about to be launched. They were absolutely arrogant and refused to sit down. Our barn but they had so much swagger it was nauseating. Absolute clowns. 4 1

mpt
I didn’t know you could high stick a goaltender and not get a penalty. 2

A ref gave them a half hug at least twice. It's not even a joke anymore.

Chilling at the bench like he wanted everyone to know he was there. Guess his game play took a hit because his ego was in the way. Acted like he'd won a game before it even started. After every whistle, he skates right into one of our guys as he heads to the bench. A total s disturber but it goes beyond a respectable level. I love that we dismantled them. They don't have much when they can't get rolling. They really resort to a frustrated game of total jerkness. So to give them some back is awesome. 2 2
sonoman
Just watching game now(PVR replay on SN). Hadn’t set PVR originally and slept through game (battled some Norovirus on Friday, trust me you don’t want). How does Motte not get a penalty shot on that short handed breakaway?. 1

higgyfan
What an effort to last night. Everyone of the boys had great energy and played the best they could. Even the much maligned Loui deserves credit. It's amazing how well this team plays when everyone is hungry to win. This game is a huge confidence booster and couldn't have happened at a better time. 1

I don't want to rain on a glorious win so will just say the Nucks payed great, Boston also played well but had $&!#ty goaltending and we had stellar Marky.

Them he immediately followed up his “accidental” high stick (even though you are always responsible for your stick) with an “accidental” knee to Motte and we let the tiny punk live to see another day other than that we did step up our physical play i actually like when they hit Jake because it seems to wake him up, he plays better when he is pissed. Dishes out some nice hits and scored a nice goal that’s the good Jake we need

canuck2288
We can not afford the “post big game letdown” specially when we play three of the league’s “weak” teams on the road next other than the Leafs, The Canadians and Senators have tremendous talent so we need to be ready Edited February 23, 2020 by canuck2288

hlinkas wrister
I only got to watch the third, but that was a pleasure. Scoring for fun and Jake sitting a few guys down, plus what a snipe. That game goes down as an instant classic.

Soon we could be saying the same about Gaudette (149th pick). And in the pipeline we have Podkolzin, Hoglander, Rafferty, Lind. Boeser was a steal at 23rd overall. And the gone-too-soon Tyler Madden was a 68th overall pick. The future looks bright because of JB's solid, astute drafting in recent years.
