[Trade] Panthers trade Vincent Trocheck to Hurricanes for Erik Haula, Lucas Wallmark, Chase Priskie, Eetu Luostarinen

Didn't think Florida would be sellers. Thought Carolina would be looking to bolster the D and G positions.

Maybe collecting assets to acquire a G?

Odd move as Panthers are in the mix for that last spot in the Atlantic. After seeing the leafs lose to a zamboni driver I was sure Florida would be thinking to bolster their lineup rather than trade what is considered their Bo Horvat on the team.

Carolina can’t be done.  They were looking for Ds with Hamilton and now Pesce out for the rest of the season.

2 bottom-six forwards, 1 guy with top-9 potential, and bottom pairing potential --- all guys 6 foot+, pretty good haul for Florida.

That’s some serious patience and long-term vision being displayed by Florida. I’ve watched them a few times this year and they are seriously good team right now. Letting Trocheck go on the verge of making a push for the playoffs seems strange but prospect and depth wise a pretty smart looking move

I trust Talon and Quenneville know exactly what they are doing in this instance.  Trochek has been on the board for a while

Seems light like return for Florida.  Haula is UFA and Trochek has 2 years left after this one.  Were they trying to clear cap space or do they really like the two prospects?  There were some concerns about Trochek’s speed.

Didn't they just fly that zamboni driver-goalie into town. Their set in net baby! Lol.

VT also gets injured a lot.. didn't think Florida would be dismantling.. also thought Carolina would be looking for a G

He hurt his ankle last year and returned too early and apparently hasn’t quite had the same speed since.  Florida was looking for a LD and was talking with the Wild about Brodin.

I get the trade for Carolina where Haula hasn’t quite fit in but a bit surprised by the move by Florida.

Feels like those two teams aren’t done yet.

Huh, it'll be interesting to see what the follow up moves by these teams are
