King Heffy
Islanders overpaid way, way too much for what they got. Washington got very good pieces for another cup run, while LA loaded up on picks. 1
YEGCanuck
The Oil and the Flamers have both made some moves that should put them a better position for the playoffs. The stretch drive just got more competitive. Bring it on!
Popular Post J.I.A.H.N
I honestly think Tyler Toffoli was the best addition any team did on the TDL Edited February 25, 2020 by janisahockeynut 4 4
Toyotasfan
My biggest question from today is ; What’s with Dubas and the Leafs? They are set up to do nothing but fail and seem fine with it .
6string
The volume of deals caught me off guard, I thought with the all the talk leading up to today it was gonna be mostly hype. The Tyson Barrie rumor was crap as many knowledgeable Canuck fans would know it was a no go - just Toronto crap! I think Washington did well for playoff contending teams and Montreal with LA moved their building process forward.
Warhippy
I think the Isles did well. Ottawa for me is a big ol winner. They did exactly what they needed to and potentially have 3 lottery picks IF the Isles fall from contention which, after a trade deadline can in fact happen as there is only 6 points separating the Islanders from 12th in the east as opposed to the 6th spot they're in right now. For a cup contender, hard to say the Bolts and Caps didn't do the best. For a rebuilding team; gotta say Ottawa hit it out of the damned park. They now have three 1st round picks, two currently in the top 6, 7 in the first 2 rounds and 13 total by the end of the 6th round while holding one of the listed top prospect pools in the league. Ennis is a smurf and Green is an absolute trainwreck defensively. 1
amplified0ne
I thought Carolina did well with Trocheck, Skjei and Vatanen. Although they did not address goaltending.
VegasCanuck
Carolina and Tampa did very well on the day. Canucks made really good impact leading up, I think Toffoli is going to be a huge impact for us and I think Benning will find a way to keep him. 1

I thought the Isles pick had lottery protection on it. If its lottery it moves to 2021.

That was probably the only pick I wish the Canucks were in on.
Popular Post skategal
Timing is everything, while I hate that Marky is injured, so glad we were able to find a backup before the deadline without having to pull someone from Utica. Glad we didn't make any other moves. I was surprised at the number of moves, lately it seemed like the TDL was overhyped with most of the action occurring well before the final day. Kudo's to JB on deftly snagging Toffoli before the craziness that drove up prices on TDL. Now all we have to do is make it into the playoffs, get through at least one round, and then figure out how to resign all the essential pieces. Let's hope both Markstrom and Boeser are back well before the playoffs and Tryamkin comes in and joins the team. We'll need the depth available as the playoffs become such a war of attrition. 1 1 1
