Montreal came out flying and were finishing off every check, specifically targeting Hughes and Petey. It was looking like it might be one of those games, but was happy to see Green take the timeout and settle the boys before things got out of hand. After that timeout, everyone seemed to settle and the comeback was on. Demko played solid enough to get the boys into ot. Hughes struggled and was clearly a target. Made up for some of his mistakes with a glorious ot shift leading up to the goal. Congrats on the 50th pt! Petey was off all game. Getting constantly hacked and whacked. Whiffed on a few beauty setups from Miller that I'm sure he would have loved to bury. Overall rough game for Petey, but he'll come back stronger.. Gotta get used to this abuse as it's not going to get easier for him the rest of the way. Captain Bo following up one of his best games against Boston with another solid performance tonight. Keep it going Cap! Jake and gaudette big games, we don't get anything out of this one without their performances. Beagle whiff of the year just lol Motte always throwing the body, love it.. Wish more guys played with his tenacity. Loui experiment in the top 6 needs to end. He's been pretty useless for a while now. Rousell has been invisible all season (minus his first two games back). I expected him to have a slow start after coming back from knee surgery, but at this point I expected him to step it up a bit. Wouldn't be surprised if he's gone next year Tyler toffoli! I knew as soon as we made the trade that this guy would light it up! Maybe my opinion of him has been biased off of the fact that Ive seen him consistently light up our canucks team in all his years as a King, but by God am i ever happy he's a canuck. He's stepped in and is already contributing in a big way. They really need to find a way to sign him in the offseason. Not the prettiest win, but we'll take it.
