While there are some seriously pessimistic posts, quite a lot are realistic posts about the team. I don’t get a sense that anyone on here doesn’t want the team to succeed.

It is somewhat annoying to be told how to be a fan too.

I don’t mind people having reservations. I have reservations and am nervous as hell about how tonight will go. I think they will bounce back but anything can happen.

But when you are posting like 2288 that the Canucks will not make the playoffs, will lose all of their free agents and fall out of contention, well, you are either trolling or should seriously do something else with your time because you aren’t cut out to be a fan of this team.

I think its a coin toss whether we make the playoffs but I am not going to come on here crapping on the team and coaching staff before the game has even begun. There have been a couple of times already this year when they were counted out, only to surge back. A lot of talent on this team.

You do you, but I don’t see why people bother watching the games when their only joy is in gloating when they lose. I don’t at all see you as that kind of poster. There were plenty of negative nancies saying less than reasonable stuff already.

So, our predictions about hockey games must be optimistic or there is something psychologically wrong with the assessor?

Your life is miserable and you suck - if you are “pessimistic” about the Canucks’ chances or result against the Leafs, or anyone else for that matter?

Read 2288’s post predicting we will fall out of the playoff race and lose all our free agents this summer, and tell me again it was unreasonable for people to comment that he was being excessively pessimistic to the point where we wonder why folks like that even watch the games.

You have built a nice straw man post here though. No one would comment if some one posted a rational concern that we might not win this game. I have the same concerns. We might not and things are tight. There are no guarantees.

Have to commend the troll job he did though. Stirred up lots of reaction which is probably exactly what he was looking for, so more fool me.

Ya, the problem is Demko won't make it past Seattle. They'll take him if exposed.

Yes on locking up Clark, his contract is up at the end of this season. As well as Judd Brackett's. Both are very important parts of the team and need to be locked up asap..

With the last game against Ottawa, not sure if Demko is on their priority list. Maybe worry about it closer to mid-season next year? You know there's 29 other teams Seattle will be scouting, right? The anxiety people have for things beyond their control is amazing.

I just logged in for the first time since Gillis was GM to say two things:

1) Congrats to Vintage for hitting 100k posts - you are a gem - keep up the good work; and

2) the Leafs suck.

Wondering if Ernie is my brother. He's the same way.

Talk about construction, he will talk all day.

Anything else he's quiet. But when he does talk, he's worth listening to.

I had a meeting when I got out of the hospital. My brother who hates hospitals took time off work to be there.

All the specialists and doctors were happy with my stroke recovery.

My brother at the end when everyone was finished, made this great speech how my family were grateful of all their work and care.

I was never more proud of my brother than at that moment. And he has a lot to be proud of.

Big decisions will be made this summer regarding Canucks goal tending. How he plays during Marky's injury will impact those decisions. Demko might not be a Canuck next year. He might get traded at draft. Or he might be our starter.

If you don't want to discuss it you don't have to. Don't involve your self. Just ignore and move on instead of quoting and posting on this subject you don't wish to discuss..

The anxiety people feel when they come across a conversation they are not involved in nor have interest in is amazing.

cheers!

If Eriksson must be in, swap his place with Virtanen.

I really don't understand why Green didn't shake the lines up a bit considering the last couple games. The team just looks flat, bored and in need of a spark.

If it were up to me (and I wasn't allowed a sub) -

Pearson  Bo  Toffoli

Miller Petey Virt

Motte Gaud Loui

Rooster Beagle Sutty

No idea how to solve the 3rd pairing problem though. Fanny and Myers have been &^@#ing awful, but I like the other two pairings.

Demko is not the problem. Fanny and Myers are on the hook for playing like $&!# and hanging their rookie tender out to dry.

Feels like this has to be a Coaching tactic by Green to not change the lineup. Show the players he knows they can play better than they did rather than piling on and burying their confidence. Time will tell if it pays off. It certainly did after Tampa and Florida so I would hazard a guess that he knows his guys and their state of mind better than we do.

Hoping they come out with a strong start.
