bure

and nominate removal of h. sedin to be replaced by bure

and nominate h. sedin for #2

Guess loyalty to 1 franchise and being a good person on and off the ice means nothing to you?

Bures # should be in the ring of honour. He didn't do enough for this franchise on or off the ice to have his # retired.

I'm voting Daniel sedin and nominating the phenom, ALEXANDER EDLER!

i look at it solely (or perhaps mostly)

based on who was the most talented player

to ever wear a canuck jersey

and who played a meaningful time in vancouver

bure fits that criteria for me

i appreciate others may factor in other things

but raw talent matters most in sports

historically personality issues were less important

i appreciate that is changing more now

i still think that history will retain athletic prowess

over other things

and so i assess that issue above others

That's fair.

I grew up a big Bure fan. When I started following the team in 2001, he was long gone but I loved watching YouTube of his highlights here and his 5 goal Olympic Russian rocket performance. I loved that he won a rocket here and was probably the most electrifying player at the time.

That being said, raw talent, I'd give it to the Sedins after they won their back to back scoring championships. I just think that's more impressive just being a pure goal scorer.

If this was a most talented Canucks goal scorer of all time I'd give it to Bure as #1. If it was a "most talented Canuck" I'd probably have him 3rd or 4th Sedins still first two and him or Luongo 4th.

But it's neither of those. It's "top 50 Canucks" and in my books, to be a Canuck, you have to take in consideration their entire work scope on and off the ice... And I just don't c how Pavel could even be top 5 in a list like this

Quite frankly I think it was a disgrace that he lied and said "he had visa issues" the sedin night.., he should have attended sedin night. He just doesn't like the city and in my opinion should be a ring of honour guy.

i saw all significant canuck players play live

i don't need bure to win any major award

his raw talent was obvious

that does not diminish any other canuck great

but no one else ever stood out like he did

in my observation anyway

no one ever scared players on the other team

like he did

that says a lot about his raw talent

if you watch his early games

you can see how nervous he made the players on other teams

i appreciate my views are subjective

but i saw what opposing players saw

and in my view that is the greatest compliment any player can give to another player

to visibly show fear of the other player
