I totally forgot about him, thus the thread title. From 1980-81 to 1987-88 he had 392 goals over 7 seasons, an average of 56 goals per year.

Maybe not necessarily a star... goaltender Tommy Salo.

He's most (in)famous for letting in one ridiculously bad goal in International play, but was a very good goalie for Edmonton in his prime.

I always admired his technique. He was an early adopter of the butterfly style, rare especially for a Swede coming to North America in the 90s.

He said in a Swedish interview he was driven to alcohol abuse, depression, even suicidal thoughts based on the backlash from the goal he allowed in the Olympics.

I find that really sad - he was legitimately my hero in 1998-99 while I was just learning the game.

I can tell the ages of most of the users here.  When Dany Heatley is all they remember.

how about mike gartner, glen andersron. Joe nieuwendyk, the KLM line (krutov, larionov, markov). Pat lafontaine, Vladimir konstantinov (the greatest hitter in nhl 95-97)

theo fleury, Jim peplinski, Russ/Geoff courtnall

rick vaive, Todd Gill

all my spelling is incorrect and I don’t give a crap!!!

Don't know if anyone mentioned Mike Gartner? 17 seasons with 25+ goals or more, one 50 goal, seven 40+ goal, six 30+ goal, and 1,335 career points.

Oops, in the post right above mine lol. Thanks @sassbs

The best goal scorer, perhaps ever. Shame he had that bad back as I think he would have kept the streak going for a couple more seasons.

your spelling is ok, but your Capitalization, and punctuation, might need work.
