Also, via CNN:
  • The US is monitoring intelligence that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's health is in grave danger following a surgery, a US official with direct knowledge tells me.

Background to this is Kim is five feet, seven inches tall, weighs about three hundred pounds
  • BMI of 45
  • or "extremely obese"
The guy is at extreme risk due to his health.

Now this is interesting.

If true

How does China react?  How about North Korean ruling elite and military?

No idea, Does he even have a successor? Hard to have a successor when you murder everyone around you. IE the uncle, the half brother.

I would assume China will be all over this offering assitance.

South Korean government says North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is not seriously ill

Tue 21 Apr 2020 02:53:01 GMT

Yonhap (SK media) citing the South Korean government

  • says North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is not seriously ill
  • says no unusual movement in North Korea
South Korean latest is at odds with (admittedly anonymously sourced) US govmt report:

OK this sounds fishy. How would the South know? Unless they opened the special lines of communication with the North. In that case, what else would you expect the North Koreans to say?

Something has to be up as Lil Kim missed the "Day Of The Sun" celebrations on the 15th.
