It's an amalgamation of several injuries over his career. But Sawchuk was known to have played completely black 'n blue and covered in scars. Absolute nutcase and an amazing netminder. I've generally always been drawn to the really blingy helmets with super reflective cages and designs. It is the one piece of equipment where a player is allowed to make a real statement.
