my brain has turned off but there was a player, a big spender that got asked by a stranger for a hand out. the player signed a check and told the guy to put the amount in. the guy then wrote in a couple of thousand and made off with it. he may have come over from boston. i suffer from old timers disease. does anyone remember who that was?

Well done, thanks for keeping us engaged and entertained. You did a pretty good job of remaining impartial despite passionate discussion, agreement, and disagreement which is noteworthy. Despite running the thing you didn't push your view more than any of the rest of us.

Now what do we do?

Particularly pleased to see Rosie Paiement, Danny Johnson and Moe Lemay on your list. Rosie was my favorite player on that inaugural 1970 team as he led the team in both goals and PIM's that season. He was one tough little SOB. Johnson and Lemay are two of the best skaters the team has ever had and, as a result, were always kind of exciting to watch.

Thanks for putting this together @-AJ-. I'd been absent from posting in the forums for a while but this made me want to participate for a bit again. I think the list is solid, I would've liked to see Cooke get in but 51 is as close as it gets. Maybe if we extend it to the top 250 we could get Bernier in lmao.

I'm sure Pettersson, Hughes, Boeser, and Horvat will all move towards the top of this list in years to come. Markstrom should get in too, and his rank will only improve if he can add some playoff success to his name. Tanev should rise a bit more if he re-signs for a few more seasons. Couple other guys on the roster could land there too depending on how their futures play out, its an optimistic time to be a fan (or it will be, when the league starts up again lol).

Yeah, to be honest I could have had Paiement a tier higher.  Moe Lemay was a guy who put in his time a la Sandlak and Cooke, but whom we might need to work a little bit to have remembered.
