It might hurt in terms of guaranteed money. But if he really wants an NHL career, I'd figure more teams would gamble on a $1 million dollar show me contract.

ya it depends on how bad he wants to play in nhl walk away from contract or play in ahl and collect 3.66 mill play in nhl the following yr
