Rush17
I heard about Hamonic last night. That definitely hurts them in their series vs the peg. I guess it will be more of a run and gun series perhaps. I think i gotta cheer for the jets now that hamonic is out lol
lmm
Any bets on which team loses the most/most important players? Hamonic definitely hurts more than Svendo Players have until Monday to decide, penalty free Edited July 11, 2020 by lmm
Rush17
I'm not surprised bearcheese opted out. Seems like that type of player.

Luke Kunin also has type I diabetes. He excludes sitting out and can't wait to get started. There is a provision though that says that players with pre-existing medical conditions that puts them at risk of developing a serious illness from covid could be prevented from participating. The determination will be made by team doctors in consultation with the league's chief medical officer. Edited July 11, 2020 by mll

I don’t think that’s fair. The Canucks aren’t going to play him or they would have before. Why leave the family to enter this bubble just to sit in the press box? 1

VancouveriteinSanDiego2
Won't they be safer in the bubble then at home and going to restaurant and grocery stores?

Hamonic is likely self-isolating and getting supplies delivered. I'd be very surprised if any of these guys opting out are going to restaurants to be honest. Just because it's allowed doesn't mean everyone is doing so. With the money these guys earn, it's very easy to be safer at home than in the bubble if they make the right choices.

I thought Calgary would win and I thought WPG losing would give me phase 2 lottery odds for Laf in my fantasy hockey. I can see him ending up with the Rangers. His speed and style would probably suit their team well. I hope he gets a chance in the nhl.

Popular Post Coconuts
I dunno, personally I think it takes guts to opt out. For most I imagine it'll be a tough decision. Those who do will likely be a small minority. I don't think it's fair to criticize those who do decide to opt out either, there's nothing wrong with having different priorities or being skeptical of the NHL's safety plan. 3 2

Slegr
Imagine if Austin Matthews opted out, after it was already reported that he had COVID. That would seem a bit suspicious, eh?
