McDiver will throw a few tantrums once he realizes he isn't getting gifted calls, but Chicago's experience and depth is far too much for the Soilers to overcome.  The extended break makes it harder for Edmonton to keep up the facade of having an legitimate NHL team outside McDiver, DryS***hole, RNH, Kneel, and Nurse

McDavid plays through plenty of abuse - he hardly ever gets the calls.  Guys can be pulling him down right in front of the ref and no call.

Mostly because he has a well-deserved reputation of going down easier than Kesler., and then crying like a baby when the ref doesn't fall for his flopping.  Hawks will be all over him and shut him down.

Hawks have actually done well at shutting down McDavid this year.  In the 4 games they played, McDavid was held pointless and was also a -4.  But keep in mind, that was with Lehner and Crawford in net.  Lehner has been traded and Crawford is unfit to play.  Now its the super scary combination of Subban, Colin Delia, or Kevin Lankinen.  Ouch!

Oilers in 4 and hopefully Uncle Gary hits the Hawks with a high lottery pick after their early exit.

Crawford played in the scrimmage yesterday - 1st day back after having had Covid.  He now has that preparation game vs St Louis on Wednesday.

I know he scrimmaged yesterday and he will also be traveling with the team, but rumors from people who witnessed the scrimmage was that Crawford looked "rough" at best.  With Crow being the kind of goalie that takes a while to find his rhythm, I find that news less than encouraging.  Hopefully I'm wrong, but I'm kind of expecting a Scott Darling/Nashville situation where a back up is going to have to come in and replace a struggling Crawford.
