They outplayed us 5 on 5 though...

Canucks had a good first half, wouldn't say dominance but you could say they carried the play (maybe). Blues we're the better team in the 2nd half pretty easily.

The good thing is we now know how they like to play first hand; get it in and grind you down. I thought our passes weren't always on (even w/o pressure), we can still be better IMO.

They outplayed us 5v5 but not by much. They looked good in our zone but is a bit lackluster in their own end.

Sheesh, tough crowd here. We just beat the defending Stanley Cup champions and looked good doing it. Perfect? No but we looked great! This is a young team just stretching their legs. Lots of room to grow.

We also got the addd bonus of Habs losing!

Loui had some pretty physical moments on the boards tonight actually, its great to see. Not sure if any of that was listed as a hit or not

More likely a penalty.  But I don't even think we care anymore.

The blues did have the edge in the first 2 periods in terms of better chances but Marky stepped up and played like Marky from the regular season.

He's a huge part of the team and a big part of why we are here.

We won some games like this in the regular season but I'm impressed with how we pulled away on the 3rd and played steady till the end

He was rated as one of the top players on the Canucks to most likely win the puck on a board battle, so it's really no surprise. And he can do it without throwing hits.
