Is there a Glass-ceiling? Used to joke about that in the 2017 EP/Glass debates. Thank the puckGawds we chose well there! But some Vegas' highly touted picks have certainly had their stumbles.

-Then, how many picks did they squander before Tartar quickly soured?

- Pax Macciorrety?! Didn't seem to do much for sniping. He makes a LOT too. Didn't they spend a tidy sum in youth to the Habbies? That Suzuki ain't looking tooo shabby, eh?

- Stone is a great player, yeah. But the mileage is adding up, & he wasn't too fleet to begin with. There's 9.5 mill x eternity. Glad we didn't pick up a vet(like him) & get committed for yrs to such a number.

- Then De-bore made Fleury a pincushion. They might have some question marks in the blue paint now too?

For all of the ED youth/draft capital the riggeddeckleague GIFTed SinCity, they sure have spent it like a drunken sailor at a crooked Casino!

Fools & their $ 650 mill go their separate ways. Love it!

The only difference betwern Dallas snd Vancouver has been depth scoring, a PP that scores when it matters and physical big boys on the top line.

While we can't change how big and strong Petey is, Miller can certainly play with more grit the way Benn is and I'm fine with our top line.

We had no contributions from our bottom 6 jn the last few games where literally just 1 goal would have made the difference.

Most importantly is that PP. 5 minute major and we should have won Game 7. Meanwhile, Dallas get 2 late powerplays and score on them both to take them to the Cup finals.

Apart from that, our team is very similar to Dallas. Both have solid scoring lines, our goalies are much better and defences are very similar (one solid PMD and strong physical defensive defencemen).

JB just needs to tweak our team and we'll be there soon enough. I think also having guys like Perry and Pavelski in their lineup really helps in the locker room more than on the ice when it comes to these situations.

Good analysis, & agreed Dall & Van aren't far apart.

We gutted them, Dallas finished off an easy opponent. Change my mind.

If Vegas beat us in 5, this would be a whole different series. We took them to 7 and definitely took a bit out of them (maybe tired from 500 shot attempts lol).

With that said, Dallas was always a good team and I'm not sure why many had underestimated them in the first place.

Starting a season 1-7-2 and having your GM and owner saying that your 2 star players aren't winners must have something to do with that.

Or maybe the Knights emptied the tank against us.

They played us hard and we didn’t give it to them easy.

Definitely, that too. They were mentally exhausted from Petey's wizardry.

But our inability to exit our own zone bit us in the arse too many times

Seems like Seguin points totals this playoffs have been underwhelming to be fair. But then I think Miro Heiskanen is going to be the team's best (and star) player moving forward.

Also I think it's safe to say if The Stars win the cup Miro Heiskanen is going to win the Conn Smythe.

Speaking of Miro Heiskanen why did people consider his draft year as a weak year?

It's only been 3 years and Miro Heiskanen, Cale Makar, and Elias Petterson are already star players and Nick Suzuki looks like he could be one too. Add that Nico Hischer looks like he's going to be a very good Top 6 center. Robert Thomas and Kailer Yamamoto also shows a lot of promise.

Pretty spot on, but I'd argue that Dallas has two solid PMD in Klingberg and Heiskanen. It makes them very dangerous from the back end, makes you wonder what we'd be like if Hughes had a bit more offensive support back there with him.

Agreed, it does help having two top-4 units who are basically the same. Obviously Heiskanen is the equivalent to our Hughes (if not arguably better offensively and defensively) but we do lack someone like Klingberg.

That's where someone like Rafferty or Juolevi could really impact this defence, but we don't want to get too carried away with offence. Edler and Myers have really taken a step back offensively and skating-wise, but it'd be nice to throw one of the kids up in the mix if they can handle 20 minutes in a year or two's time.
