  1. Last second scratch Trade pending?
  2. High energy player, great for our Abbotsford team
  3. He played great in last night's 3-0 win against Calgary. Does not shy away from contact and dishes a lot back himself. Tons of energy all game, finished checks, and played a great 2 way game. Was also last guy off the ice after the pregame warmups. Only knock I saw was his lack of accuracy on his shots. Needs to start hitting the net more frequently.
  4. Honeslty this take probably turns out 100% right in 2 years. Well said man But let us continue to gush at his potential until he's chosen a team. It's unlikely, but maybe he transitions into the next Panarin/kaprisov (not meaning their exact play style, just that type of star)
  5. So how does this work.. By us keeping EP40.. that must mean he signed a contract ???? And then us not protecting Quinn Hughes must mean he's still negotiating???
  6. I say we have exactly a 1% chance of passing on grabbing Luke....
  7. Absolutely no guarantee we would have been able to re-sign Madden anyways. (College player loophole) Schaller has been a plug. And a 2nd round pick is generally the bare minimum for a rental player. All in all. We now have a steady top 6 winger, who has a lot of playoff experience. And chemistry with Pearson. JB did just fine in this trade. Whether we resign Toffoli or not. People getting mad at JB for this trade are the same people getting mad when we miss playoffs. Give JB a break lol
  8. Yes and no, Yes it isnt a perfect system. But it doesn't impact it as much as the 3 point system does. Afterall the previous system used to be split points in the event of a tie, or winner of the overtime took both points. I feel point totals would stay similar to that of the 90s. All in all we would see a lot less overtime. Teams would be keeping the tempo high to secure 2 points in regulation. No more slacking for the loser point
  9. What can a fan do to impact current league rules? I for one am sick of the loser point. It creates unnecessary parity in the standings and diminishes the credit of a regulation win. It allows teams to play it safe at the end of the third, and leads to more games being decided by a shootout. I have scoured the internet via google, and I'm not the only person hating on the "loser point." There is journalists and sport analysts, that share my opinion. Yet our voices are not heard. What's a fan to do? My top overtime rectification is simply to have any game going into overtime worth 1 point, winner takes all. This would make hockey competative until the final whistle in the 3rd period. Which I believe would lead us to having less games settled by a shootout and also has the added benefit of maintaining the integrity of old team point records. Some people suggest making regulation wins worth 3 points, OT wins worth 2, OT loss worth 1 and a regulation loss worth 0. My issue with this point method is it does jeapordize previous record point totals. Anyone else have any other ideas on how to eliminate the loser point?
  10. Cold hard truth: Guy is too small to be an NHL goalie. That Hutton defection goal doesnt happen to a 6'2 + tendy. Goes over his short little head lol.... it wasnt a coincidence the sharks stuck to high shots.... the prototypical NHL goalie is like 6'4 now. Id rather stick with one of those...
