  1. They either boo'd or luu'd. Either way, it's pretty disrespectful to Lack, and I can't see how he would not take that personally. Those people weren't sending a message to the organization. With that said, I still think they should have started Luongo. They must have known that this would cause another controversy, especially considering how big the game was. I get wanting to win, and playing the hot hand, but in a game like this, you need to play Luongo. The only reason to sit Luongo is if he's injured or being traded, but it's been three games, and I doubt they would sit him for that long just so he doesn't get injured.
  2. I agree, Luongo should have started, but I think the chanting is more of a black mark against the fans than starting Lack is for the organization. I can't even imagine how disheartening it was for Lack to hear "We want Lu" and "Lu" throughout the game, especially coming from the people who should be cheering for him.
  3. This situation is very different from the Luongo situation. Kesler's contract is a lot better than Luongo's and over half the league is interested in Kesler. I'd be surprised if Kesler isn't traded by the deadline.
  4. There's no way that Columbus gives up Johansen. He's just way too valuable to them to give up.
  5. That Pittsburgh offer is way too low, but I'm not too worried about it. It's most likely just Pittsburgh trying to lower the price by bidding low right now. I doubt they expect to get Kesler for that. Gillis is probably doing the same thing, except he's asking for more than he thinks he will get for Kesler.
  6. Elliotte Friedman just said in the pre-game show for TOR-MTL that there are rumours that the Canucks are quietly exploring the trade market for Luongo.
  7. I'm pretty sure this was Tortorella's decision. I can't see them sitting Luongo for 3 games straight unless something is up though. You just don't sit your number one goalie for that long.
  8. I can understand benching Subban. He's better than Hamhuis, but Hamhuis is the safer bet and they can afford to do it too, considering all the fire power they already have on defence . I have no idea why Kunitz is playing though. He just doesn't look like he belongs out there.
  9. You really can't go wrong with either choice, but I still think Luongo should be starting. Price just hasn't shown that he's the better goalie, and since that's the case, I think we should go with the goalie with experience.
  10. It's tough to say who will get the start, but I think it will be Luongo. Price just hasn't shown us that he deserves to be the starter over Lu. Right now, I would say that they're pretty even, so I would go with the guy who has more experience.
  11. Just because the Sedins are in a slump doesn't mean they aren't first line players any more. If they're still playing like this next year, then I'll be worried, but right now I'd say they're just having a down year and they're still trying to get used to a new coaches system. How did Gillis trade the farm for Booth and Ballard? He gave up two older players for Booth, and he traded the 1st round pick, and a prospect who was waived by one of the worst teams in the league. Losing one first round pick is not trading the farm. There are multiple teams with as many NTC's as us. I don't see the problem here? Anyway, most of the NTC's probably aren't full NTC's. And finally it's way too early to tell if the Hodgson and Schneider trades were the right moves. Just because you don't like the moves doesn't mean they're bad.

    Anton Rodin | RW/LW

He's still Canucks property. If he's willing to come back over, I think the Canucks should give him a look in the pre-season and maybe a few games in the regular season if he plays well. He's having a great year over in the SHL, and it looks like he's finally healthy and gained his confidence back. I would give him one last chance to show us that he can make the transition.
  13. The truth is we have no idea how Gillis or Aquilini feel about this team. They're not going to come out and publicly state what they think of the team, especially if they don't like what they see. We just need to wait and see what Gillis does at the deadline and the draft. Gillis isn't going to trade players just for the sake of making a trade and he isn't going to admit to the entire world that the Canucks are desperate or that he's lost faith in the team.
