  1. edit: Whoops, sorry, someone pointed this out already.
  2. Italy quite the exciting season this coming year. President, GM, coach — they are all really talented, Sweden humble guys. Hopefully the players follow suit.
  3. Holy mixed metaphors, batman! But I liked it very much. :D
  4. Let me sure I'm understanding you: You don't like the article.
  5. According to Josh W on Canucks army: "On QoC/QoT for Ehlers vs. Drouin. Ehlers faces tougher competition (12.51) vs Drouin (12.37). Ehlers also had weaker teammates (14.26) vs Drouin (14.69). Those QoC/QoT measurements are based on average ES TOI for all opposing skaters."
  6. "Can't stay healthy"? His injuries were his fault, then? The knee-on-knee collision? Being blind-sided? He should have managed to stay healthier.
  7. Surprised at the vitriol aimed at Booth here because he's unashamedly religious. Fundamental beliefs aren't like hats that you can take on and off; they inform your very being. I don't agree with Booth on everything, but some tolerance would be nice. Were I to single out and demean another particular demographic the way folks do for Christians, there would be an outrage. On topic: mixed feelings, since I can't imagine that we're going to win the cup this coming season. Would have rather let Booth have a chance to prove himself when healthy; at worst, we continue to suck for another year to convince management that a major shakeup is needed, and at best, Booth starts performing well and we could have maybe traded him for some picks at the deadline. Cap space is nice, I guess.
  8. I feel like we really could benefit from trading up to #1. What kind of offer would it take for Florida to accept? I've heard 6th+Horvat. Would a good defensive prospect like Tanev, 6th, and a 3rd or 2nd round pick do it? Or a solid defensive forward like Hansen?
  9. MDC really does rub me the wrong way. I get the sense that he feels "above" the interviews or whatever. Of course this is just my own subjective interpretation of what I'm seeing; maybe in fact he's thinking of unicorns and how he can feed the poor as well as feeding passes to his linemates to help their numbers. ... but I doubt it.
  10. My goodness, how did we go from this: to 2013-14 Edler? I think he's worth another chance with a coach that helps his game. He's only just turned 28; as a defenseman, he could still have at least another 5 good years, well within chance for our rebuilt/re-tooled cup run. What he needs is confidence, and I think that's something we can help with as fans.
  11. I see what you did there. Shaw for Hawks, Kopitar for Kings.
  12. I'm just curious; what makes you think that Kesler waives NTC to go to the worst team in the NHL?
  13. I do that in a heartbeat. Edler has a NTC, though; will he really waive for Florida? I mean, I like Luongo, too, but...
