  1. My hopes hinge on Vilardi having a monster Memorial Cup. Either Dallas or Colorado will take him and leave us Glass. If we end up getting Vilardi in the end because Glass is gone then we get the guy who just tore up the Memorial Cup. Win/Win.
  2. Interesting this Denver based mock draft has Colorado taking my preferred pick Glass at #4.. that's the highest I've seen him yet I think... I don't think it's past by other teams that his rise this year might not have signs of slowing down. http://bsndenver.com/colorado-looks-northwest-in-post-lottery-mock-draft/
  3. I hardly ever post but I truly laughed out loud to that one!! Too funny man
  4. Every part of me wants to like Ritchie as the size/skill combo is completely tempting to fall for but I can't help think of guys like Bernier or Dustin Penner as someone Ritchie might end up being like. As in you'll forever be hopeful that one day they'll just put it all together but that day never really comes. None of us know for sure obviously but at #6 I guess you don't want to have those thoughts.
  5. cool man...nice to get a read from someone who's actually seen these guys play... the only real knock on Perlini I've heard and that bothers me is he does not use his size much at all for a big guy. I think I'm more excited at this point for the combines to see where everyone is at fitness/size wise (especially some of the smaller euro guys).
  6. Exactly what I've been thinking. I've read almost this entire thread and it's gone up and down, left to right about Virtanen, Ehlers, Kapanen, Ritchie and Nylander but not much mention of Perlini who is ranked higher at least on ISS (http://www.isshockey.com/iss-top-30/) than the other PF's. Personally, I'm leaning more towards Ritchie or Virtanen but curious as to why he doesn't get much mention.
  7. I guess one extra bonus that hasn't gotten much attention is that there is nothing stopping a new GM from asking players with NTC's to waive them. Not saying they will or won't but the NTC's were Gillis' supposed no go zone. This can only make any sort of rebuild/reset a bit easier.
  8. I kind of have to agree here...I watch pretty much every game and I can't say I see what others see when they say he's coming along. He's a big guy so if he's not scoring I'm not sure why he's not at least a bit more aggressive on the forecheck/hitting? There was a point in last nights game where he was zeroing in on the Phoenix d-man on the forecheck ( I think in the 2nd ) and instead of getting a good lick in like Weise/Sestito have been he just let up and grazed him.... if you're not scoring show some of your other intangibles no? I just feel that this is slightly disappointing from a guy who many say deserves more than the 5-10 mins a game he's getting right now...
