  1. In the end, this goes down in history as one of the worst trades ever. Wasted 1st- and 2d- picks and added long-term dead cap, with no playoffs to show for it. All three should've been allowed to burn down their last year of bad contracts - as Arizona did - while tanking and keeping draft picks, cap space and owner's money. GMs are paid for being able to calculate risks and foresee long-term consequences much better than this.
  2. Perhaps, he just forgot where he was, being intoxicated. Mixed up Glendale with Moscow, where such things is just a charming, no-nonsense way of life.
  3. That means, the GM believes that in 2025, we can get a better D for ~3.5M of the actual cap hit + 4.7M of dead cap, than OEL at his 8.25M cap hit. A close call, but I tend to agree.
  4. He is a very good hockey player. Some people are just having a real hard time adjusting to a new culture and feel homesick and alienated. Nothing wrong with this, by the way. We all different. I suspect that if not for that horrible war, Nik would play all of his career back in Russia. Again, nothing wrong with this. But does our team need this type of motivation?
  5. Not here, please. We've been through this once. Thanks but no, thanks.
  6. I did not see the full picture when I thought management was wrong focusing on Boeser and JTM in summer. Now I know where the root rot was. Timely trade. Things are often not what they look like from outside.
  7. Now we know the reason, including why JT and Boes were signed ahead of Bo. Nice job amassing those points, btw. (
  8. Keep EP, Hughes, Bo, and Kuz as a core. Everyone else on the market for draft picks or prospects. Buyouts for negative values. That's that major surgery to me.
  9. "We’re not moving toward a rebuild, I prefer the term retool,” says Rutherford." I am hearing this nonsense since the last Stanley Cup final game that I attended.
