  1. Also, FWIW, that quote was from 2020 during the Edmonton Bubble. It was peak COVID-19 and maybe the Horvats decided it would be safer to have the baby near their families rather than have all the grandparents travel. Bo's wife is in Vancouver most of the time (at least her public socials indicate so). Pretty sure I read that the Sedins went back to Sweden in the offseason - so are we going to call them traitors too? IMO this is a non-issue - Bo's shown nothing but commitment to this team.

Genie just beat Sharapova at the Madrid Open. This is after weeks of her being a really outspoken critic of Sharapova re: doping suspension. Must feel nice. Bit of a frosty handshake afterward.
  3. Is it just me, or Brek Shea kind of hard to cheer for? edit: And by that, just kind of unlikeable...?
  4. I've still not got that elusive Bulbasaur, but I think I've hatched 2 or 3 charmanders from 2k eggs now. I've found that 5 k eggs are mostly duds for me =(.
  5. Ouch =(. I sat down on a bench to grab a gym on my way back from the grocery store and the guy sitting next to me (who I assume was the original holder of the gym) shot me the dirtiest look ever as I got up to leave. Niantic are going to have to come up with a better update than just appraisals if they want to stop hemorrhaging players.
  6. Stream for tonight's match vs SKC: https://www.facebook.com/concacafcom/
  7. There's also https://pokefind.co/evolution.php if people are too lazy to do math =P
  8. Maybe it's the places I go to? I have seen the shadow of Bulbasaur once, never tracked it (pre-radar apps), and have only ever heard of 1 charmander...from someone who stayed overnight at the ferry terminal to catch pokemon. In terms of rarer pokemon, we seem to have quite a lot of Scythers and Tauroses around the city, and a boatload of eevees near the water.
  9. The last week or since the update around July 30/31st? For sure they've mixed up the spawn points for certain pokemon. I've also noticed a ton more Psyducks around my place (in Toronto), and Squirtles seem to be a bit more common now. Still no sign of the other 2 starts though =(

Whoops, I overslept. How was the first set? The scoreline suggests it was pretty close, but Milos doesn't look as "on" today...at least not since I've tuned in.

holy crap holy crap holy crap. It's actually happening. Milos just serving it out. Edit: Wow. Milos Raonic has come so so far. From being more or less a 1-dimensional player to what he is now. Showed 0 nerves near the end to close it out.
  12. As a non-baseball fan (and also someone who would have been a year old, living on another continent), I had to look that one up. How did they not notice an upside down flag? I mean, it's not a complicated flag to figure out...
  13. a bit of an iffy call, but we'll take it I guess.

Monfils was lucky not to hurt himself diving for a shot (and landing on his racquet hand, no less). Obviously, I'd like to see Milos win, but as a tennis fan, I hope Monfils can still compete at his best. Apparently the dive left a deep cut on his hand to the point where he said he couldn't grip anything. It certainly made for some spectacular photographs though... http://www.ausopen.com/en_AU/news/match_reports/2016-01-25/monfils_fights_through.html
