  1. I think what impresses me about their defensive play when they are humming is the quickness to the puck and the 2-3 short passes to get to the open areas and evade the forecheck. That almost makes the passivity moot. I find that they have been jamming it up the boards more than anything, which is predictable and easier to defend. But agree that they just need to be aggressive and play more of a zone, instead of trying to play man-to-man.
  2. Well, check and check so far this game. Having Eberle walk right in and deke wouldn't be my definition of crap goal.
  3. You beat to me to it! Also, the Sedins established their foundation while they were still playing. https://www.nhl.com/canucks/news/sedin-family-announces-foundation/c-730310 Edit: To bring it back to the original topic, I believe Demko can pull it off but I also hope that the Canucks can learn to tighten up defensively, which might translate into reducing the number of high-quality chances against Markstrom when he makes it back.
  4. I was lucky enough to be at the Sedins' last game in Edmonton when I lived there. The Oilers and their fans were very classy, especially since it was their Fan Appreciation night as well. The blurry pictures are of the Sedins' last shift and the Oilers lining up to congratulate them. It's going to be very special to see their numbers up in the rafters after so many years of great play together! Wish I could be there tonight but will be watching every minute here!
