  1. Not a liar at all, but I do get why you would be upset to hear that one of Benning's big draft picks isn't tracking well. I'm also not the only one who sees this. Even Botchford stated in one of his Athletties that Juolevi doesn't have much trade value right now, and that a scout he spoke with basically said that Juolevi hasn't developed since his draft year. Draft +3 season. Stop trying to minimize the time period.
  2. I have watched the games. I do so without my homer glasses on. Funny how you think it's trolling just to have an educated opinion on the subject matter.
  3. Some, not 90% of their point totals like Juolevi. Jordan Subban put up better even strength offense than Juolevi in his rookie AHL season.
  4. No, I'm saying because he's in his Draft +3 season and still has to be sheltered because he's not good defensively and doesn't put up much offense outside of the PP that he's not tracking well. But I get it. You don't like people who shed reality on your fantasy. It's okay to not care about the facts and just hope everything works out. Just don't get upset at those who discuss reality.
  5. You seem upset that someone is shedding reality on your pro Canucks fantasy. Here's a tip: not everything works out.
  6. He's not tracking well because his development hasn't gone well. Offensively, outside of on the PP he's not very good, and defensively he's still a mess.
  7. No one is writing him off. I’m simply saying he isn’t tracking well. And if you’re being honest about this discussion that’s not something you can really disagree with.
  8. Where did I say I’m writing him off? I’m saying this is how he’s trending. His development certainly can’t be classified as anything but disappointing. Also, to touch on your first point: the Canucks have the worst defense in the league over the last 3 years. Let’s not pretend like our defense is too good for him to crack if he were a good prospect.
  9. Actually those are facts: Heiskanen Sergachev (throw in Chychrun and McAvoy too if you want, though they were outside the top 10) Hanifin Provorov Werenski Ekblad Jones Ristolainen Murray Rielly Lindholm Dumba Trouba Those who didn't: Fleury Nurse Morin (drafted 11th though) Reinhart Pouliot Koekkoek This is going back to the 2012 draft. Those who made it by their D+2 seasons became successful. Those who didn't, mostly aren't. Nurse being the only one who seems okay, though I'm not sure I call him a top 4 on a good team.
  10. And what are you basing this on? Most defensemen that are drafted in the top 10, who pan out as top 4 defensemen end up in the NHL in their Draft +2 season. We're in Juolevi's Draft +3 season and he's having to be heavily sheltered in the AHL because defensively he's not very good. He has an extreme offensive zone start deployment, yet only manages to put up points on the PP. You're going to have to come up with more than "he's developing fine" when I'm bringing up facts in this discussion.
  11. The rebuild hasn't even started, let alone being close to finished. This team is weak on the wings and has almost nothing on the back end. In this draft I'm very high on Hughes though. If we could walk out with one of Hughes, Kakko, Dach, Cozens, Krebs, Turcotte, or Newhook I'd say we would have another exciting prospect in our system. Our system which looks kinda bare now that Pettersson has graduated.
  12. Actually I think Pouliot or David Rundblad is a good comparison for what Juolevi has become. Defensively he's not very good and hasn't developed at all since his rookie season. Offensively, quite underwhelming. Outside of his prowess on the PP, there isn't a whole lot there. At this point, in his D+3 season, I would say he's trending closer to being a bottom pair PP specialist than he is a solid 2-way top 4 defenseman. An awful pick at 5.
  13. Stealth rebuild? There's never been a rebuild. Management incompetence has led to the Canucks picking high in the draft. Benning tried to build a playoff team but was so bad at his job that the team sunk, finishing bottom 3 in back to back seasons. This team will not improve until we get new management. I am excited about Boeser, and Pettersson, and I think Horvat will eventually slide in as a very good 2C on a team that's a contender. We still need a 1C, and to completely rebuild our defense. We also need to find a way to get out from some of Benning's awful contracts (Eriksson, Sutter, Gagner).
  14. where have you been? what have you done? no seriously, why'd you stop posting :P

  15. Stop making me think, its killing me! :P
