I know this isn't the right place to post this but it just hit me as a possible 3 way trade between Anaheim Florda and Vancouver. Anaheim Kesler Florda 10th overall 6th overall Etem or prospect. Vancouver 1st overall ANA 2nd rounder FLA 2nd rounder Florda gets Ehlers and a Virtanen or other good prospect at 10. Anaheim gets their top end 2nd line C so they can be better cup contenders. Vancouver might overpay a little but thats what it will cost AT LEAST to get the #1. Anaheim would probably need more as well.

I thought the exact same when the pick was made but after thinking about it Nichuskin was too much of a risk for Gillis. Bo isn't exactly a home run pick but he is exactly what we need. Think about Nichuskin he already has an attitude and he would most likely clash with Torts. Here we picked a good Canadian kid who will pan out to be an excellent C. I think of him as a more complete Hodgson.

If we do replace gillis which is extremely unlikely it would have to be someone with previous gm or FO experience.

Yeah I know its still quite remarkable to have 3 different black belts, thats the point I was making. Yes but Silva is easily one of the best, I don't know how you could argue that. At least Silva can finish fights (dont bring up Maia) and id rather see a fighter get "schooled" and pull off an exciting submission than land jabs and takedowns for 25 minutes. Which is what ive seen in the last 75 minutes of GSP. I'm not saying that Silva is better than GSP but he is definately more exciting to watch and as a fight fan thats what I care about the most. Your talking like this GSP vs silva fight is gonna happen when it wont.

LOL dont post here again. Silva's black bels in Jiu-jitsu, Judo and Tae kwon do beg to differ. Sonnen didn't get to the the championship fight for nothing, hes easily the best wrestler in the middleweight division. While the welterweight division is deeper you can't compare the 2.

Use my head for once? Who do you think you are the MMA Guru? I never once said that he can't compete. The fact still remains that he can't or wont finish fights, ive heard the same post fight interview for YEARS now "I am Sorry to my fans for not finishing the fight, I will not disapoint next time...etc." What happened to his "brutal ground and pound" and unbelieveable submissions? Or even a spinning heel kick every once and a while. He had complete control of Hardy's arm and still couldn't torque it enough to get the tap. While I understand that he is doing his job to win fights by inflicting 10x the damage than he receives. Which brings me back to where I need to give my head a shake, if you want to be the best in the world you should be able to finish a fight against a one eyed fighter who "Isn't even CLOSE to his ability." Don't compare boxing decisions to UFC decisions because its completely irrevelant. Or Manny and GSP for that matter. Just for the record Manny never had a streak of more than 3 decisions.

GSP doesn't take ANY chances in his fights not one time did he go for the big KO punch and hes been that way ever since hes won the belt. It may be boring but a W is a W. If you watched the fight Koscheck was throwing that wild right all night and didn't connect once. Quite frankly its smart because he can absolutely dominate using jabs and leg kicks. The only person who might stand a chance IMO is Nick Diaz which won'tbe happening anytime soon.
