2.) It is a team with a top-6 forward who is still injured, and another who is still in development. Regardless of anyone's personal view of these two guys abilities, Burrows is injured, and Kassian is in development. And who would you suggest be put with the Sedins? Jagr? Oh wait, he's not on the team. How about Nash? Oh wait, he's not on the team either. Kane? Nope.
So who would you put there?
3.) This is a team that has very few prospects about which *you* are excited about. I think there are a lot of good youngsters down on the farm.
Are they all elite prospects? Not really, but what do you expect when the team keeps doing fairly well in the regular season? Oh wait, they could trade away the guys who got the team those good results over the regular season in order to get those elite prospects, right?
4.) Meh, coaching changes can take a long time to work out fully. There isn't always a perfect storm as LA had a couple of years back.
5.) Don't expect it any time soon.
Kassian IS NOT a top 6 forward no matter what you say, sure he's DEVELOPING (to no end, i suppose) but currently NOT top 6. We have 1 injured top 6 and that is Burrows who is on the DECLINE (0 goals). So the question is why do we have so FEW top 6 forwards?? That problem rest SOLELY on the GM. Why even bother bringing up Jagr/Nash/Kane, you trying to be funny or retarded?? Why do we have SO FEW top 6 forwards? Why does 1 Burrows injury (who has ZERO goal) an excuse for our LACK OF SCORING? Please come up with something better as a counter argument before MOCKING me with your Jagr/Nash/Kane.....
Trading guys who got good results for prospects you say?! Oh wait HE DID! Does Cory Schneider RING ANY BELLS?!?! Who said ANYTHING about trading for prospects. Reason we don't have any ELITE prospects cos we HAVE NOT DRAFTED WELL! Who's make those call? Oh i'm sorry, thats the GM's call.
Thanks for coming out!
