  1. Jalen if you're reading this, please make this your goal song next season! Chat-man
  2. Oh dang. Thanks, thats too bad im going to this world junior, would have been nice to see him. I guess ill have to drive down for a canucks game
  3. It is expected by most that EP will make the team out of camp. My question is, when World Juniors begin ,( In Vancouver ), do the Canucks let him play for Sweden?
  4. haha yeah nah just thought it was funny b/c Hughes looks like a child. I am excited to see him play and after last draft my trust is in Benning. The kids name is Crispin Terry
  5. Pavel Bure decided to get in on a photo op. with Vancouvers newest prospect. #PavelandQuintinJune23/2018
  6. I could certainly envision LE mentoring him and teaching him the ropes, but I don't think they need to be on the same line to do it. He is a good 2-way player but he has clearly lost a step or 2. I hope he proves me wrong and earns that contract, but i'll have to see it to believe it.
  7. Yeah good call, Green will almost certainly shelter him. Who do you think would be the best players to play with? Obv. a lot can change on the roster from now until next season, but as the roster is projected now. I wouldn't think he would be playing line 1 (which rules out Bo and Brock) Erickson would just slow him down most likely, Baertschi would combine with EP for a too small and weak line so he's out. Virtanen would fit well with him, speed, net drive, free up space. EP-Sutter/Gaud-Virt? I guess it will depend on if he plays wing or center (which many believe he would start as a winger) does that make Sutter our default 2C?
  8. I am of the opinion that EP has nothing left to prove in the SHL, and that when you have a prospect developing at a rate this fast, you have to be careful on how you handle him. He needs to be deployed in a setting that is challenging enough for him or else there is a risk of "plateauing" early or possibly even regressing. To everyone suggesting he take another year in the SHL, consider that this is not a normal prospect and certainly not a project player. He needs to be thrown into the deep end of the pool, he may tread water for a bit, but it wont take long before he's swimming side by side with the big fish. He needs to be on the team next year, for the good of the team, his development, and his career. Anything else at best would be lateral. The discussion should be, who will he play with and on what line.
  9. Wow this kid is unreal, very impressive season. Is it just me or does it look like he has a freakishly long neck?
  10. Highlights from last night for anyone who wants to see Linds hatty and assist. It doesn't show it but I was the lone fan to throw a hat on the ice! LOL http://pgcougars.com/video/highlights-cougars-7-rockets-6 Cheers.
  11. Hey guys just got home from the game. Lind finished the game with a natural hat trick and an assist and first star of the game. He looked great out there settling down rolling pucks and making between the other teams leg passes, but most of all boasting his scoring skills with his slick wrist shot. He was a huge part of the game including his teams chances at winning and the loss, he took a double minor with time running out in the third for a high stick, the cougars scored on the ensuing power play and won the game. All in all though a very impressive player to watch play and clearly a top 6 player on any team. cheers.
  12. Halfway through first period shots 7-7 Lind w 2 goals.
  13. Yeah well said Momesso, there are lots of bandwagon jumpers when they are winning. But it comes with some history that kind of explains it. The teams owner for many years ran the team into the ground, hiring family members who have no clue about hockey to perform key roles in the organization. This resulted in many losing seasons and bad blood between the players and the organization. The inevitable aftermath was that P.G. became a reputable place for young players careers to die. So ownership and management ran the team soo far into the ground that eventually they were forced to sell (but not after running every season ticket holder out of the building and alienating the part time fans). Enter Dan Hamhuis, Eric Brewer (Cougar alumni) and a local investor, they bought the team cleaned house and immediately things started to look better the cougars were winning and the fans have started to return. Like Momesso said we had a winning season and the building was pretty packed again, although it would be short lived as much of our success was coming from veteran junior players at the end of their age limit to play junior, (Harkins, Watala, Gabriel, Olson), (a few players off the top of my head), So now we are in a rebuild again but it wont last long as it is junior. Good hockey days are on the horizon again in P.G. They are not completely terrible right now they just beat Kelowna last night 4-1. I missed the game because I was at a Big Wreck concert but I will be going to the Kelowna P.G. rematch tonight and I'll give an amature scouting report after here on the Lind page. My buddy was at the game last night and said Lind was hands down the best player on the ice. Here are the highlights from last nights game, Looks like Lind could have had 2 or 3 goals with his play. At :31 seconds he dances the defence very nicely http://whl.ca/video/highlights-rockets-1-at-cougars-4 Cheers
  14. Kelowna is playing in my home town tonight and tomorrow night against the Prince George Cougars, Very excited to see Lind play in person as he should just destroy the cougars. The cougars have traded away all of their really good guys for young future developers, it is points night in the central interior. Expecting Lind to walk away from this double header with 5-7 points.
  15. agreed. also it would be nice to have a post/crossbar count on his season!!! I feel like its between 5-10 idk though
