dont really care about aquillini's pocketbook ... he's made lots off our hockey club and he likely participated in the decision to get oel. he owes us an oel buyout. there is a sentiment that 'it'll go on for years,' in reference to the buyout ending with 4yrs of 2.1m cap hit. i still dont see that as making any huge difference and found it interesting that a so-called expert on canuck army made this quote in reference to the cap increase: 'one million dollars added to the cap isn’t going to make much of a difference to the Canucks.' i hold the same sentiment ... 2.1m cap hit for 4yrs shouldnt make much difference, would free up cap space compared to the 7.2m we will pay for the next 4yrs as well as eliminating the prospect of 4 more years of oel's apathetic play

i do agree, even we move to 19, we still get a good player or two ... there are so many, i keep wavering back and forth myself. really like benson these days and yager and still hoping we could get hold of strabyk

legit. we have a bad mix. we are in cap hell and that prevents us from getting the right mix which management seems to be aware of from what i can tell. on the good side, we have the high end players, ie: core. sort of why i wouldnt mind trading down in the draft and picking up 2 top 40ish prospects, say ??? and strybak. the hawks would have to pay dearly for the 11th though.
