  1. hopefully it was ok to send you a note,I should have asked permission 1st though....And we moved right when Glen Clark andthe government mess of "I'm telling the truth" crap...the coast had just become to screwed up to not notice and tolerate..

  2. you are correct, there is a premium to live out there, that's why my wife and I moved away...we moved in 97 just after my last year of working at GM place...89 years of my family being in Vancouver(North Shore) and none of us live there anymore, well Grand dad came there in 1909,just not the same place as before EXPO when the greed factor set in...Miss Anton's Pasta Bar in the worst way..

  3. Burrows made his deal and it is up to him to be happy with it! IMHO he would have made 3.5 to 4m if he held out for offers. Burrows is quite underrated, he piles up the points while killing penalties and back-checking like the devil, is a plus 30 and can be a real "Burr" (pun intended) in the other teams sides. Add to that his 5 short handed tallies and I could easily see a team clearing up $4m for him. Yes he could have done much better but I truly believe that he feels The Canucks believed in him and gave him his chance and hey $8m over 4 years is a lot of money!!!!
  4. Watchin' the Olympics!

  5. clutch, on 03 October 2008 - 12:34 PM, said: I know allot of people are going to scorch me for this but I fail to see the reason why nobody questions his ability to play in the nhl. Every game i watch with him in the lineup(all of them) I find myself screaming at the tv because of the stupid stuff the guy does. Personally i'd rather have any of the guys that are fighting for a spot on the team rather than burrows. Everyone's #1 reason they like this guy from what I read on this forum "He's great on the pk. Who cares! Anyone can do this thats fighting for a spot. He can't score and i'm tired of kesler carrying this guy on his back night after night, I'm tired of him losing the puck, falling down everywhere seriously this guy falls down a hundred times a night can't he skate its ridiculous, stupid penalties its endless. "He plays with grit" is another common description tossed out when his name comes up. That ok sure he pisses off guys but fails to do really be able finish that job off by being able to fight because he can't. IMOP he's an embarrassment to the team. Please Gillis let this guy go keep Krog or Pettinger or Brown whoever. let er rip. It's quite obvious that this poster is one of two things: 1) A fan of another team trying to stir the pot. 2) An absolute moron with 0 hockey sense. I tend to believe the second! I could care less how many times he falls down as long as he keeps getting back up and competing as well as he does every night, continually improving his offensive and defensive game on a nightly basis. He has 26 goals on pace for 35 or so and a plus 28 what more do you expect at $2mil/year. Give your head a shake and stop expecting perfection!
