Big fan of these guys time here so I'm gonna try to answer some of these...
First of all I remember reading in the paper that Bertuzzi said the hardest part of being traded away from Van was that /he/ was the one who broke the news to Nazzy, seriously. I can't find the article now but watch this vid where he says it was the toughest part to get through and you can see his face when he says it was emotional.
1) Just chemistry I guess? Morrison was younger than them and the newcomer but they were quite close with him too. Bertuzzi and Naslund both came to Van for a fresh start and got it, Nazzy especially helped him with that. You can't help who you're friends with, who you click with, sometimes opposites attract. Apparently they were like brothers off the ice, their families were also close etc so it seems like their differences didn't matter, like he says here, they were similar too:
You have to remember, they were together on the team for a long time, their formative years technically, Naslund said "we had a bunch of guys who were about the same age and we kind of grew up together a little bit"
2) I don't know they probably happened at the same time, probably got closer when they were put on the same line.
3) Yeah he was protective not just on the ice but irl, I mean Bert was calling out the Van media/fans for their "brutal" and "undeserving" treatment of Nazzy, saying "he gave everything he had to the city" even many YEARS later when Bert was a Flame. We don't know them personally but I'd say yeah, the fact that they were such good friends would have made Bert more angry towards Moore, it's not just the "oh no you came after the captain of this hockey team" but something more personal, like you said, he was his guy. Wouldn't you flip a sh*t if it was your coworker who was your best friend as opposed to if it happened to just a coworker that's a leader you respect?
4) A couple months ago a report was floating around that Naslund and the Sedins refused to testify but he debunked that as bogus, I don't know exactly how that is going to go.
Ah man now I want to watch Nazzy's retirement ceremony again...it's too bad Bert had a game with the Wings then. Mo said he "spoke to Bert and he was really upset he couldn't be in Vancouver for the ceremony. He kind of lit up when we were talking about it, which was pretty cool to see."
It's funny cause Nazzy pretty much lit up when they showed Bert's message during the ceremony
Oh the old WCE days, some good times.
Adding on, hey OP here's some info about the upcoming trial and the source for Naslund testifying
Is this 2004? I feel like I remember a thread about this on HFBoards or something lol I can't believe this is the first Quoted has heard, back then that was like a recurring joke people harped on, the amount of Brokeback[neck] Mountain photoshops made in those days with them, wow. Calgary fans were so proud of them too, I'm sure Google can find it.
But I mean, pictures taken out of context, how could you possibly even get that crazy idea wow what a random idea
No but seriously though, I've never seen this gif, what is happening here?
really don't get what's going on at the end of the gif why's Bert's knee coming up
