With all this money talk, about Weber, Suter, Parise, let me just say, I love the Sedins.
At 6.1m, seeing as they are top 5 in this league, and I personally would take D.Sedin over Parise as left wing any day.
I may be biased but fact remains, D.Sedin IMO is a better player and is AAV 6.1m vs Parise @ 12m.
We are basically getting both Sedins for the price of what Zach Parise is going for the next 3 years.
What sucks for other NHL players is how the rise in Cap means players who had longer terms are now getting crap money comparably. I mean Parise is getting Crosby money, he is worth that, no.
Either way, thank you Sedins, not only for your play on ice, for your community work and hard work throughout the year but for staying in Vancouver for almost 3+ Million less than what you would fetch on the market.
Great signing by MG. I mean, this is a big powerforward that hits a lot, and creates havoc on defenders by his ferocious forecheck. Big body that has the ability to block lots of shots because of that. Can't wait to see him at training camp.
It's hard for everybody when we were one win away from winning the cup, but let's not forget it's harder on Luongo for not winning it because he was the one working hard night in, night out on the ice. He knows what it takes to win the cup better than any of us. Cory got 3 chances and he could not save us from LA either. Hockey is a team game. Stop pointing fingers at the goalie.
It's a weds, and LA is on the verge of winning thire first cup. Seems familiar.
I am still sick to my stomache. How did the biggest night in history of this franchise turn into the biggest dissapointment. I woke up the next morning and had to face everyone at work(in Manitoba) that had been cheering against the Canucks. It was the worst day ever.
This is so trivial cause there are a lot of people who have it worse in real life. Food, job, abuse, a lot of things so I don't make light of that. But from a guy who's had it pretty good....this sucked...hard. From thinking that Vancouver could arrive on the big stage and have something to hold their head high about, to being the laughing stock of the leauge, at least in Canada (no respect).
I guess being a true Canuck fan means to get hit hard...and get up...every year.
People may laugh, but the feel shame when they lose to the Canucks.
Our fans out cheer their fans on the road cause we have pride and desire.
I don't have a lot of true friends, but the ones I do rule. I don't have a lot of money but when I get extra I'm happy and more then happy to spend on others. And the Canucks don't have a championship, but when the Canucks finally win....It'll be the greatest moment Ever!!! I won't give up cheering for this team, no matter how much we get razzed or hated on or laughed at. This is my team. I grew up with it...I'll die with it.
Go Canucks Go!!! Forever
What does a Stanley cup win for the Canucks mean to you?
