I believe a team's system dictates player stats more than individual talent. Individual talent and where you play in a line up usually reflects more on where you rank in team scoring. Throw in the fact that he's still learning the pro game at 20 years old it shouldn't be surprising he's not putting up numbers.

He's looked good yesterday and today. In my eyes the best skater on the ice, often flying through defenders. Considering Utica isn't an offensive juggernaut I wouldn't worry about his stats this year if he's playing like this every game. The points will come.

I saw that head fake on Hossa too. Shows a lot of confidence and that he knows how to take advantage of his size without even having to take the body. So much raw talent, hope it all comes together for him.

Stay silent Sam. Can't wait to see what Tryamkin can do against AHL and NHL competition. So difficult to gauge players in the KHL.

You're more excited about what Grenier might be capable of over Sven? If you watch the Comets games Sven is easily more dominating. (not taking anything away from Grenier he's playing great) Sven might be small by some peoples standards but watching his board battles and ability to steal the puck from bigger players you should be very excited. I don't know if he always played like this but if its something he mastered this year he's got a good NHL career ahead of him.

Impressive numbers on a low scoring Kingston team (68GP 9G-36A-45P). Good size 6'2 215. Lots of promise, let's hope he can transition well into the pros.

Sakic isn't a general manager. People are saying Linden has no experience for the GM position.

Our cap space says no. We are not one scoring forward away from a cup run it would be a waste of assets to get one. I get it you are upset with the state of the team but think a little before posting such ideas.

I think Mike Gillis has done a decent job in his time here, but I feel his abilities have not been put to the test yet and that will change this summer with the extra cap space and the understanding that this team is no longer a player away from being a contender. The only thing that has really bothered me is the NTCs that have been given out. We have been restricted by the cap, the NTCs have restricted us further. A lot of the issues people have with Gillis stem from unpredictable circumstances, such as Lou being outplayed by our young goalies and the core no longer producing. It is unrealistic to say Gillis could have brought another scoring forward in with our cap situation and our belief that our players could bounce back to 2010-2011 form. This summer is make or break for Gillis, fans should put the pitchforks away for now and just wait to see how this plays out.
