IMO, the opportunity presented itself, it had to be done, it was done...end of story.
Or perhaps this would be better. "Excuse me Mr. Ferland, I know you have been running around with reckless abandon on my teammates and I hate to take any of your time away from that, but when you get a moment, would you mind moving to center ice and removing your gloves, so we can engage physically?"
Just stop it.
This... Don't give a crap about what Bieksa should have done. He nailed him and let him know that the would be more where they were coming from. Time to let him look over his shoulder.
If there is one thing that I've learned in the 12 years I've been watching the Canucks it's that many Vancouverites are overly pessimistic when it comes to their teams. It's a best of 7 series for a reason. Now man up and support them instead of preaching about how it's over already.
This is so true of Canucks fans..... C'mon now, stand up to be counted instead of acting like kids, throwing there favourite toys in the bin cause it doesn't go their way.
Tight game with chances both ends... Canucks nowhere near as bad as some of these posts states.
When you consider what other teams have gotten through the drafts this is a poor set of prospect. Horvat is the only one proving to be a great player, Hodgson would have, head he not been traded to Buffalo. Since then he had one good season and has since played below average.
Maybe just a bit early to compare MG and JB, bearing in mind Gillis is over a six year period, and Benning is only 10 months.
However JB found us a goal scorer (tick),
Got a veteran goal keeper, until lack showed he can be a no.1 (tick),
Got something for Kesler, Which could turn into gold, although his hands were tied...(Tick)
Got a coach, who got most of the old guards going again (tick)
Has started the youth movement (tick)
Drafted decent (an eye towards size in the backend) (tick)
And mostly having the balls not to join the mass hysteria shown on CDC, to clear all decks of everyone bar the ticket office personal (actually including the ticket office personal). He may yet get rid of some of the old guard in the summer, but the value will definitely be more favourable now than during last summer (tick)
All in all good start to his tenure. Long may it continue
One good thing is the value of Lack is heading north for every game he plays at the moment. If the organization decides to deal a goalkeeper during summer, he would be a lot more valuable than a bench warmer.
He has certainly quietened a lot of doubters with his play in Millers absence.
Look all I'm saying is in big games he becomes unoticed way too often. Recall the infamous empty net he missed in game 2 against sanjose, which lead to Sanjose tying it. He does this way too often for me to jump his wagon. Recall his previous games against LA and Nashville this year, he went invisible. Please watch him in big games that have more meaning behind them, you will most likely see what I'm saying. Games to watch him in: Nashville, LA, St louis and Dallas. Watch him with a scope and than you will see what I'm talking about.
You're totally out to lunch here mate... 68 games played and you moan over a 4th liner (14-16-30... almost scoring at .5 per game) for not turning up in like 4 games or maybe a few more??? Your hate makes you pathetic...
To the OP... Great post. This line is turning into the success story of the season. If it hadn't been for Kassian taking great strides, it would be the main topic.
LvG is sacked after we finish 4th.
We hire Pep or Ancelotti.
Sell AdM and return Falcao
Get some real game breakers
Ronaldo comes back
De Gea signs an extension
Januzaj starts to reach his potential
We sign Pogba
Sign a RB like Clyne or keep Rafael
Sell the useless junk we brought in (Fellaini, Mata, etc.)
