<img src="http://cdn.nhl.com/canucks/images/upload/2007/07/salmonprospects.jpg" class="imageFloatRightFramed">December 1st game - A close one, losing in OT, just saw the CH hilights, Dirk Southern's goal was a carbon copy of the howizter he unloaded for a 2nd period marker Sat nite.

Three Wranglers of note---#11 Francis Lemieux, (2 goals, one the OT winner) had 2 AHL seasons, parlaying an outstanding average year in Chicoutimi into a pro career, recently reassigned to the ECHL. Career may be on the downside, but had a good night.

Two former BCHL d-men patrol the Wrangler blueline, skilled former Salmon Arm player Craig Switzer and one of the toughest players in BCHL history, former CV Capital Chris Frank. Called up as an BCHL All-Star game injury replacement (game was in Victoria), he played so well that he was voted the Game MVP. Now a rookie with Las Vegas, Chris Frank has 4 yrs at Western Michigan completed. Some of his epic on ice battles can be found on youtube.

Thats my comment for tonight---my inspiration is the famous sports writer, Dicke Dunn, who in answer to Reggie Dunlop about how he wrote up a game said, "I am just trying to capture the spirit of the thing." That will be my motto on these commentaries.
