  8. Yup, my worst nightmare came true. Someone knocked on the office door and said that they can hear me singing and that I should probably stop or just hum the songs. Okay so, I'm gonna go bury myself into the ground cause that was really embarrassing. Bye forever

  9. Agreed. The last thing I remember hearing was that he was going to Russia to get married and then coming back out here to train. Training with an NHL club for most of the offseason suggests good things to come for next year, but I want to see some progress for personal hype purposes.

  10. Announcement: We will be using the same expansion rules as the NHL is using next summer. Teams may either protect 7F/3D/1G or 8 skaters/1G Players with NMC's must be protected 1st and 2nd year professionals as well as unsigned draft picks are exempt from protection (we will be going by 1st and 2nd year professionals in real life to make things simpler) In addition to these rules, teams must also leave the following unprotected: At least one defenseman who is 1) under contract in 2017-18 and 2) played in 40+ NHL games in 2016-17 OR 70+ games in 201

  13. Let's not forget that for Juolevi to "get his 9 games" we'd have to expose (and quite possibly lose) someone else to waivers. JB won't take that risk lightly, and would have to think Juolevi has a legitimate chance of sticking before he does. Chances are he gets a good look in the pre-season but goes back to junior unless he totally lights it up. No freebes in the real world of the NHL.

  15. The Canucks fans on HF boards are one of the most negative doom and gloom people I have ever seen. They are basically what TSN insiders would be if they were Canuck fans.

  16. would not be surprised at all if Olli makes the team out of camp this season. but in all honesty, he would really have to outplay most of the veteran defenseman, and even the bottom pairing guys. If he's even ON PAR, then he goes back to junior, in my opinion. There's no need to rush the kid. However, with that being said, if he's head and shoulders above the competition, and especially against those with NHL games under their belt, then I think Benning and Co make room for the kid. He will in all likelihood get his 9 games, and then they'll probably decide what to do with the kid. I think Can

  18. This guy is going to be a 6 million dollar defenceman. The way he adjusted to the NHL in such a short time to the way he manhandled some of the opposing players. With a little more work on his shot and accuracy, he's a future number one pairing defenceman,

  19. I agree, there would have to be at least 2 D injuries before Joulevi get's his 9 games, or a Sbisa/Pedan trade plus an injury...

  20. Of the gazillion players that went to the NCAA, you found 3 players. Meanwhile I can think of twice as many players who have signed from our NCAA player pool since 2010 alone (Hutton, Demko, Labate, Beattie, McNally, Cannata).

  21. True dat. He also got lucky vs Seattle as the last play of that game is debatable forever. I guess the point I was trying to make was is that he quite easily could have 5 rings and at least 5 more years to play. Don't get me wrong, I don't believe he hasn't taken advantage of every edge he could have because he comes across as ultra-competitive. I may be biased/envious as his wife is hotter than mine.

  26. /\ Generally, when the NHL refers to a "pro", they are referring to professional games in N.A. (NHL, AHL, ECHL). Waiver rules are one example. It's kind of a sneaky way to turn your nose up at Euro hockey and the KHL, and encourage foreign prospects to tough it out on the farm team - so they can at least be waiver eligible sooner if a team is sending them back. I'm not 100% certain that this is the case with expansion, but I'm guessing they'll keep the status quo. So a guy like Artemi Panarin will likely be exempted, despite in fact playing years of "professional" hockey.

  27. Ya I agree, He plays for the London Knights why not send him down and give him a year to get stronger and be a real leader on a team. Defencemen on average take longer to develop, even guys like scott niedermayer played another year of junior after being drafted and he went 3rd overall.

  29. I think he will, and like most seasons I am sure we will start the season with an injury on the back end. Maybe slot Olli in for his 9 games to see if he can handle the load while waiting for injured player to return

  35. Bernie Sanders now endorses Clinton. /barf Listen, I know a lot of you don't like Donald Trump. That said, Hillary literally represents the polar opposite of Bernie's platform. To endorse her is to take a greasy dump all over everything he stands for. It's nothing short of a total political sell out. To see Sanders bend the knee for Hillary is a dark, disappointing day. If Sanders truly believes in his vision, he should have run as an Independent. Many Bernie voters will be and should be angry. Having said that, it was a pipe dream to begin wit

  36. Yet a BC boy wants to play in Edmonton and not Van. Strange universe we live in. I like Stetcher I think he will be one of the first call ups for an injury. Seems like a potential Top 4 Dman if he's developed properly.
