  1. Forget board rules, how about a little human decency? In my opinion a grown man who posts conspiracy garbage after a bunch of children die to satisfy his own sick delusions is far worse than someone dropping an f bomb or calling someone an idiot. If it's not a board rule perhaps it should be? Be a decent human being or #@%& right off.

  2. The only similarities between @Mattrek and @Harvey Spector is they both post allot. Until Mattrek starts going off about pizza themed pedophile rings and Democrats drinking baby blood... you guys are comparing potatoes and tomatoes... not the same.

  3. A few of my favourite tid bits from this article "First, Pettersson scored at a rate exactly 500% that of Patrik Berglund in their respective draft years. Based on Berglunds career high of a 52 point pace over 82 games that gave Pettersson a comparative result of 260 points. Not going to happen." "Another anomaly was Filip Forsberg. Pettersson is a very early birthday in his draft year, Forsberg is very late. The comparative result from Forsberg gave Pettersson an expected 82 game pace of 155 points. While the age adjusted result would still be very favourable for Pette

  4. Had to chuckle a bit at the report of how the parent company of the National Enquirer bought the story about Trump and the Playboy model, just to kill it. It's pretty well known that the head of the company is a Trump fan.....funny thing is, the official reason for killing the story was that it "wasn't credible".... Let that sink in for a moment....."not credible" enough for the National Enquirer....

  6. You know what's really sad. And I want everyone to think about this for a minute. Teachers get paid state by state, county by county in the US. All from a federal/state budget Many teachers are underpaid for the hours they work. Many teachers pay for supplies out of their own pockets. An estimated 1 in 3 American schools runs short on supplies every single month. But instead of helping schools or teachers, the US lawmakers in charge right now are willing to pay to give every teacher a gun, install metal detectors and pay for armed guards or po

  8. Observations: January 2018 – Dahlen continues to be the best player in Sweden's second tier – the Allsvenskan. The fiesty and dynamic forward has driven play on a line with 2018 NHL draft eligible players, Filip Hälinder and Jacob Olofsson and leads the league in points-per-game with 1.22. He has recently stated he would play three more contests with Timrä before exploring his out clause to sign with an SHL club or return to North American and join the Utica Comets. Many teams have reported interest in the 2016 second round pick, with Brynas and Farjestad BK appearing to be the front runn

  9. Interesting little tidbit: Rathbone’s current points per game (1.83) is actually higher than what Ryan Donato put-up (1.71) when he also returned to play for Dexter in his D+1. Yup, at the same age and at the same school, Rathbone is outscoring a current Team USA Olympian, Hobey Baker Candidate, and likely future NHL forward. Donato did score at a higher points per game in some of his previous years at Dexter but I believe at that point in time they still played in the “small school” group against a much lower level of competition. Dexter now plays in the hi

  11. Oh I completely agree that is has definitely infected both sides.. I think that is what frustrates me the most to be honest is that the whole thing is an attack on America itself and instead of coming together people are picking sides. And that goes all the way up to the president who should be focused on the Russian interference and sanctions and what is best for the entire country instead of worrying about what the media says (Their goal is to get a rise out of him imo. And it seems to work). Personally as a Canadian I have no dog in this race other than what I hope is best for

  12. I sure hope this article is right Because I have been calling EP a generational talent since he was drafted. And my bet that had we won the draft lottery JB would have selected him anyways. This balances out the dishonest front office at NHL headquarters. Imagine how hard it will be to not call penalties when EP is dangling defensemen and they are hanging on. He reminds me of Pavel Bure with his shot. And one thing I noticed is he takes pucks at high speed knocking the passes down in a controlled fashion, also like Pavel Bure. His ability to pass may be better than any of the current players i

I know I actually give a damn about other people unlike many on this board who only care about themselves and that’s all I need to know that I’m on the right side. FWIW it is zero surprise to me that you actually like Harvey since you agree with most of what he says. I don’t mean that as a compliment either.

  14. Do people not understand that teams employ pro scouts for a reason? All this talk of 'showcasing players for a potential trade' is bollocks. Teams can pull up all the footage they want and will know exactly what kind of player they get and won't be magically surprised just because you put a a guy in a favorable position.

  15. Brady is good enough and has the NHL body already there is absolutely no way he stays all four years in college. In saying that though draft Tkachuk when he’s BPA. It’d be a nightmare leaving Svechnikov on the board. We have many needs and skill is still one of them. It’s easier to find grit than it is to find skill!

  16. He'll be back but I'm sure the harsh rebuke for his latest conspiracy probably cooled his jets a bit. Give it a couple of days and he'll do what he always does when this happens: drop off CDC for a bit, come in like nothing happened and post more horse**** from the bowels of Twitter without the slightest hint of self awareness.

  22. Comets earn a 5-4 OT victory in a highly back and forth affair, Wiercioch nabbing the winner 49 seconds into the extra frame. First period was fairly even, second period all Comets, third period all Penguins. Final shots 40-34 for Utica as they get the only one that mattered in overtime. Utica momentarily took over the game at the end of the second period with three goals in a span of 1:02 from Cameranesi, Chaput and Molino. The turning point was 5 minutes into the third (the Penguins had already had two powerplays in the period by this point), when the refs missed a slash on Cherniwchan but a

Also, 14 people tied to Trump? Maybe I missed the 14 names and how they tie to Trump, can someone tell me what Mattrek, the wannabe leftist American is talking about and who these people are and how they tie to Trump? Both sides in this look horrible. Russians spent money to run ads apparently for Bernie and others. Soros spends money to influence Americans for Democrats.

  30. Law abiding citizens should be able to have guns, what I want is common sense gun laws. In Nevada you don’t need a gun license to get a gun, that is stupid. Or if you own a sub shop and you advertise sandwich punch card promo. After 10 subs instead of a free sandwich you get a handgun, again that is stupid. There are way too many unqualified people that have guns, as we can see every day in the news. I agree with you that we need more training, getting a gun should not be as easy as buying a pack of gum imo.

  31. I feel like I could live with the Canucks going in any direction when it came down to Zadina, Tkachuk, Boqvist. However none of them have earned to be picked before Svechnikov.

  32. Boqvist is a better athlete plays the tougher position and has actually played well. You make a mistake taking tkachuk at four. I would be inclined to rake wahlstrom because he is more dynamic at four and is close to bradys size and can skate.

  33. I think you're leading into another point. Benning also gets criticized for not picking his pieces in the right order. We know that it takes longer for goalies and defensemen to develop than forwards. But you really have to take advantage of your opportunities and make the most of them. There's a reason why you draft the BPA particularly in the first round because you have to hit with that pick in order to have skill in the line up for the future. Another thing Ryan Johnson said was that he thought that forwards developed more quickly because their faults can be more easily she

  34. Wahlstrom is a guy I would seriously look at if we end up picking 6-8 I know we need D men, but this guy has been playing with Jack Hughes a lot and has performed extremely well. I think they will likely play together at the WJC in Van, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them light it up. Would be super cool to see our pick Wahlstrom, scoring in buckets at the Rog with our potential first ever #1 pick the next year. Also Oliver will be playing with Rathbone at Harvard starting next year too.

They've been savvy, and lucky, but most of all they've been persistent in getting who and what they want thru the draft, and know when to cut their losses on a season and do what they have to to make the organisation better, every year.

  37. Conspiracy pushers, in general, are usually louder and much more obnoxious. Which comes across as some pretty weak trolling - intentionally try to aggravate others. I find its what they default to when their "theories" disolve when faced with common sense. They're usually the ones who find themselves sitting in the corner for a while.

  38. It’s because of the memory loss time we live in where people think women have never been represented in film as heroes before. Whether fiction based (ie: Ripley, Croft, Hermione Grainger, The Bride in Kill Bill, Sarah Connor, Furiosa, Katniss, Pam Greer in everything, Michelle Yeoh in everything) or in non-fiction films (ie: Zero Dark Thirty, Erin Brockovich). I know there are more, but these were all just off the top of my head. Point is, people are getting too hung up on superhero representation (because the movies are terribly formulaic) and don’t focus more on proper representa

  39. From what I’ve seen of Dhalen he looks like a mini Jagr. I really think he’s going to do even better on smaller ice. His game is puck pursuit, and attacking from the dots down. That’s ideal on smaller ice. Love to see him Utica for their playoffs.
