  1. As much as I'd love to take KB3 RK17 and the ducks, I can't support America. Long live the greatest nation on the planet. We chose the Ottawa Senators @Tanev you're up.

In preparation for the 2020 playoff qualification series between the Minnesota Wild and the Vancouver Canucks, I decided this week to take a look at the Wild from numerous angles and create a resource for anyone looking to become familiar with this team. Every shot faced by Alex Stalock vs LA Kings (Mar. 7): https://streamable.com/m7azck Shift highlights of Kevin Fiala vs Nashville (Mar. 3): https://streamable.com/x79dae Minnesota Wild zone e

  3. I agree with him, its dumb what's going on. People have already surrendered their privacy willingly and have all of their personal info on their social media page. They have all sorts of apps in their phones tracking all the things they are supposedly paranoid about. But bring the government into the equation and now suddenly they care about privacy? Its just peak hypocrisy. Casting the officials that we elected into office as part of some shadowy communist takeover is just fear mongering which is counterproductive if our end goal is better governance.

  7. In Illinois, not only do you get unemployment checks, but you got an additional $600 per week on top of that. I have no issue with the people who have been laid off, furloughed, or who lost their jobs completely because the industry their in has been completely shut down. I have no problem with the elderly and most vulnerable staying home. If they have mortgages/rent, mouths to feed, bills to pay, then by all means the State should help them out. I'm complaining about the 20 somethings still living at home, that are literally filling up the bars on a nightly basis pa

  8. I’ve definitely heard liberal news stations like CNN or MSNBC talk about the danger these rallies pose in terms of spreading the virus. Besides, it’s not really an apples to apples comparison- one is a protest for civil rights and the other is an insecure orange man wanting people to gather around for a circle jerk.

  11. And how would that be implemented? Personally I think single-parenthood is a huge problem for kids as they're a lot more likely to grow up to become criminals than kids with both parents. In black communities in the states single-parenthood is really prominent and black people tend to commit a lot of the crime despite making up a minority. Natives are high in the single-parenthood as well. Having both a mother and father figure is instrumental in a kids development. Perhaps that can be a focus as well. We could try to help these kids and in doing so help the minority communities

And when there is criticism of what is going on the defense quickly gets partisan. News flash my American friends, Covid 19 knows no politics and kills indiscriminately

  16. No doubt. Gotta hand to to the kids for pulling this off. I noticed some stuff on social media in the last few days that hinted at what was happening (some of those kpop stans aren’t exactly discrete, lol), but it seems like Trump, his campaign, and supporters were completely oblivious and they got trolled hard. Trumpers were bragging even hours before about the “million tickets” and expecting to see a historic crowd. The event had an entire stage setup outside (which they had to later remove because the place was empty) for the masses they expected to see overflowing the stadium. Ev

  19. Yep. The “man” - or employers are the only reason anyone have a job in the first place. We live in a country that anyone who’s willing to work hard enough they can build a nest egg and start a business. It’s those types (the ones who are willing to put 60-80 hours a week in to establish themselves) that provide the 35 hour “full-time” work week for everyone else. If your not fond of your job or employer spend the time to learn the skills to get a different one. And there are 1000’s of good corporations to work for too. The only one stopping anyone from this in Canada at least, is in

  20. Good luck with that when there are millions lining up for that same job you want. Better yet since businesses are exploiting workers so much why don't you start your own business and show the world a better way?

  21. Honestly i think more money into early literacy... subsidized daycare... special ed support for struggling K -5 kids... Baslically if we could get young kids to read and become literate... I think they would stay in school and possibly feel like part of society. What about free trades training for kids under 20 years old.... get them a ticket and a future. I see it as spending early on kids.... or spending on them later as dysfunctional adults... ( welfare / prison / policing /. mediical care )

I get it that fans are missing sports.... but surely it is not risking the lives of our atheltes and their families during these difficult times. STAY SAFE everyone. These times will pass. Hug your loved ones.... life is precious.

  23. It seems to me these resignations are happening as a result of justice coming down on PO’s rather than the words of public servants. Look at Buffalo as an example. Should preface this by saying that I think the issues are more prominent in the states, but... The thing that kinda boggles my mind in all this is the stubborn refusal of some people to even consider different approaches to community policing. It seems pretty evident that what we’ve been doing simply isn’t working. The justice system is more punitive than rehabilitative. What are these cons to do when they get

  28. In the US anyways, eliminating private prisons is a good start. Those private prisons has a profit incentive for high recidivism rate and thus provide as little as possible in the way of rehabilitation and education within prisons. In North America, prisons main function is to punish criminals instead of rehabilitating and preparing felons for a life outside of crime once out of prison like the Nordic countries which has a low recidivism rate. Maybe following Swedish and Norwegians prison models may help in that aspects. Second, companies needs to re-think hiring practices. For the

  30. Plus country of 5m is so much easier to manage vs 320m. Also Finland is very monolithic, Finns and whites constitute 93% and almost 98% of the population. Even Canada would have hard time modeling its police system after Finland. Lets not forget that between 2000-2017 there were close to 500 killings by police in Canada. Sure that’s “great“ in comparison to U.S but in comparison to other Western European nations, Canada is like a Wild West.

The idea of Vegas and Toronto as marketing ploys is ridiculous. Go to cities that have things under control period.

  38. Majority of them quitting I have seen have been due to low morale/lack of support. I have stated that personally seen instances, like Buffalo but they don't seem to be making up the majority of these cases. Low morale seems to be a big one. My issue is it is becoming too politicized. Politicians and mayors are simply jumping on the bandwagon because they want to garner support for themselves rather than coming up with actual viable solutions and in that process are leaving police to be villianized by the public. Nobody has come out and said "We need the police" and also "We need th

  40. I think the mayor/city councils/politicians picking sides in a way that makes police feel like everyone's out to get them plays more of a reason of low morale and eventual resignation. Right now everyone hates the police, doesn't matter who you are, if you're a cop you are a problem. There are specific incidents that lead to quitting but most I have seen have been due to morale. I think that these mayors/politicians are making it more political then it needs to be and trying to take advantage of these situations in order for reelection/votes. They need to be the middle men in these

  41. If it happens when play resumes it could. This actually isn’t the worst thing to happen now. This will give them a good test for their protocols and identify any risks that they may have overlooked. It would be interesting to see how these players were infected. Whether it was passed by other staff members or they brought it in themselves. Basically they’ve got about 3 weeks to dial their safety measures in. I would imagine players will be much better protected once they reach their hub cities rather than in current cities like Tampa.

I bought some while in Jamaica last year, brought it home, and was very disappointed. It was a blend at best. Same in Hawaii, Kona coffee you get at the ABC stores etc are a blend, not pure kona coffee. Big difference.
