  4. I'm good with that. Just not like the guy that changed his prediction after the game had ended and tried to brag he got the final score correct, forgetting that edits are time stamped.

  5. Could have taken the pennies, then gone to the former employer and said, where is my money? Make the employer prove that was him that dropped those pennies in his driveway. Employer" I paid you in pennies and put your final stub in an envelope on top of the pile" Former employee- " What pennies and what envelope ?, Now where is my money?

  6. Its just that I've been working with medical device companies most of my career. It would scare people to know - and they should know - how much we now depend on other countries for critical supplies. Its not just vaccines, its basic drugs, blood products, tissue banking products and services, basic protective gear to advanced tech. A big part of it has been the purchasing race to the bottom for the cheapest possible stuff. We need to change that to keep our own population safe, but it also creates Canadian jobs. It sickens me to see the bloated administration salaries and ridicul

  7. UPDATE (Mar. 31st) > It is being reported that the game has been postponed. If or when this game gets rescheduled I will bump this thread so that your predictions still count. As always, feel free to edit your predictions right up until puck drop for this game. NEWER UPDATE (April 1st) > Since the next scheduled game is also against the Flames, I have made the executive decision to use this thread for that game. Like before, you have until puck drop to edit your predictions for the game. This is just way easier than trying to hold onto this thread for a game that might ne

  9. End of the day tho, isn't it better he's got franchise players all in their 20s for the coming years? I could care less about a few vets that are all coming off the books in less than 15 months and as for Sutter only what 3 months? But yea his haters really stuck on the fact that for 3 months Brandon Sutter is gonna get an extra million... Oh golly I can't wait for aquamans daughter to get a new yatch! ^ that's what trolls bashing Bennings contracts sound like... Anti benning trolls need to get a life (no offense, seriously) Spoil

  14. I think the main reason is financial. Once they sent Juolevi to the taxi squad, his cap hit for a recall went up an additional 850k, because when ELC players get sent down and recalled, you’re suddenly on the hook for the full contract, including all the bonuses. The Canucks are capped out, including their LTIR pool, and would have to make moves to be able to afford to recall Juolevi. Also, I think there is something to the idea of Green preferring the veteran in Benn, over the more untested Juolevi. Also Benn has the versatility of playing both sides. But when you have

  17. Fair enough. Good points. I feel that based on his solid play, which was as good or better than Benn, Juolevi will be a fixture on the roster for years to come, and that ridonkulous label of "draft bust" that people have given him, can be fired into the sun.

  18. Canucks vs Florida 2016, there was a semi lame 'bench brawl' at the end of a game. Gallant beaked off to the Sedins that they should kill themselves like Rick Rypien. Gallant will never ever coach in Vancouver.

  21. I was cleaning up my bookmarks today and came across the CDCGML ARCHIVES sheet which I am very thankful for having available, kudos on all the good work, historically and currently, that goes into this league. Posting specifically though that at this moment in time, I get a sense the league is incredibly healthy, and with the best total makeup IMO of all our years of GM personalities. Looking through the list of GM's for each club, I can say that I honestly appreciate each and every one of you guys, the vets and the newer folk, if we were an NHL team we would have a great balance,

You're gonna choke on my flip, or my subs flip. But I dont care enough to continue fighting this hard for town. Your obsession with solving me is fools gambit and you've definitely damaged town due to your tunnel vision. They should lynch you next on principal. It's really too bad I've let your infatuation and 3xcessive tunneling ruin my enjoyment of the game, but

  28. Yeah, I get that. And agree there’s not a big need for this specific player. I’d still consider it, though, since Wolanin is on an expiring deal, so no commitment for next season. If Benn gets traded, could just alternate Juolevi and Wolanin in that spot, for the remainder of the season, and get both of them some games, and maybe even have a little internal competition, to keep them motivated. Also, Wolanin plays both sides, so if he shows well, he could be an option for a cheap depth signing, without necessarily blocking OJ or JR from getting opportunities. I liked Wolani

  31. You don't just throw in every young player onto a team. You're still trying to win games and dress the best team. Playing the crap out of OJ and gifting him minutes doesn't necessarily develop him better than earning it. He's currently next up and he's getting a whole year with the big team so it's not all a waste. I hope we trade Benn at the deadline, and play OJ to finish out the year. I think that would be an excellent opportunity and a solid year for him.

  32. Largely cap management, particularly with our recent slate of injuries and the corresponding waiver claims made. IIRC, to recall OJ, his cap hit would include any potential bonuses as well. Secondarily, as good as OJ was, and he certainly has a higher ceiling and is probably a better puck mover than Benn even now, he's also an inexperienced rookie who was bound to make the sort of mistakes and issues with consistency those guys have. Benn, for his part, has largely played well and brings a certain level of veteran consistency/stability. Something this team DESPERATELY

  33. Even if Green wanted to play him, he’s not available. Benning demoted him to the taxi squad and they don’t have the cap space to call him back up unless they waive someone or put someone else on LTIR. They already will have to move cap to activate Pettersson after the waiver claims.

I'm not sure which one of you to trust less at this point Lucky I want to beleive you, but you just finished your second screaming beef in not even 2 days, pretty far cry from the logical town leader from last game. 35. It’s really a head shaker. I believe Hamonic has been a great fit. But Benn and Chatfield don’t have a future here. Where as OJ does. If we are going to replace Edler, it’s in this teams best interest to manage and develop OJ so that when Elder retires, we aren’t spending cap in free agency to plug a hole on defense when we have groomed OJ to handle Edlers minutes eventually. I hope coaching/management realize there is no hope for the playoffs so playing vets is not a priority. Play the bloody kids so we can focus on blending them into the lineup next year full time. I HATE PLAYING PRETEND! Do

  36. You don't trade a guy like Motte unless the return makes sense. For sure a team would trade their first for him. Last playoffs he was monster takeaway machine, arguably our only forward Vegas couldn't contain too, even on the PK and a man short. McEwen can't do what he does ... and if we lose Sutter or don't re-sign him, he will become the centre piece of our PK forwards left.

  37. from what someone on here has said , it has something to do with Juolevi only allowed to play a certain amount of games, to protect him from Seattle

  38. This is true and you make some good points. On a very good team Gaudette may have not even made the team. Or would be in and out of the lineup. That wouldn’t be Montreal’s excuse though. No matter how you look at that team their drafting has been horrendous. Bergevin literally traded away his best draft pick to a team that just won the Cup and where that player is now part of their core for the next decade. All just to get another French player who’s one dimensional. If Benning had made that same trade he would need secret service protection.

  39. out of all the bottom 6 players, why trade Motte? We need him to be part of the group moving forward. The rest could be traded.
