  1. OEL averaged more points per game than Ryan Ellis, Seth Jones, Miro Heiskanen, Shayne Gostisbehere, Keith Yandle, and just behind Pietrangelo. On a crap team where he knew he wasn't wanted. All this talk about how he has declined so much? His offensive points per game in the last 8 years 0.55 0.52 0.73 0.49 0.51 0.54 0.45 0.52 Incredibly consistent. He has also been one of the top 20 hitters for defenseman in the last 4 ye

  2. They can have Holtby with 100% salary retained, if I can punch Marchand in the face. Final offer.

  3. After Coyotes big off-season acquisitions. Arizona has become a prime target for retirement homes. Players are waiving their NTC and there’s a big reason why.

  4. Yes more rumours to pass our time waiting for the Schmidt trade that is seconds away!

  5. I'm still just so pumped for this trade. We have been scoring lots of 5 goal games with our talent, and now we add another 40+pt dman AND Garland, who is a points machine? Holy moly we're going to surprise a lot of people this year, but I, for one, will not be surprised in the least.

  6. I get it with the media. What I don't get is the over-the-top negative, miserable attitude of some on CDC. I am a fan of hockey as an escape. I like to feel part of something. I like hockey. I feel a bit like a kid again. I get to talk passionately about something that doesn't actually affect me. But most of all, sports are unpredictable and fun. Why someone would choose to crap all over the team that they cheer for as entertainment is beyond me? There just seems to be a very unhealthy obsession from some with being cynical and pessimistic about something they ch

  7. Loved have Luke on the back end in his first stint with the team and was disappointed when he signed in Tampa instead of re-signing here. Hard to blame a guy for chasing a cup. Now that he’s accomplished that I’d love to have him back. Could use his physicality and truculence. Nobody messed with huggy bear with Schenn on the ice.

  8. Interesting on not qualifying Jayce Hawryluk I liked him. Shows that the team is getting better

  9. Benning has done a good job so far this offseason. Personally like the recent acquisitions of Ekman-Larson & Garland along with creating some cap flexibility. imho the remaining items to address going into the season (not in a particular order) are: 1. add size and physicality on defense. Ideally right shots to complement our puck moving LHD 2. Resign Pettersson and Hughes to cap friendly deals to allow for some flexibility. 3. add size on the bottom forward group 4. Russian player to help Podkolzin acclimate to team/off ice (one that fits within our

  11. Also the inconsistency in the critiques is interesting. Benning; - hasn't gotten creative to move $$$+improve the team - isn't proactive exploiting favourable opportunities - is horrible at free agency - also shouldn't trade picks or assets b/c we aren't a 'win now' team So here he gets creative moving money, exploits expansion, and improves the team. But now it's bad, because there's less flexability next year to; - target players in free agency (where he's been horrible) - or trade for players (which he shouldn

  12. Rumour has it (SN650) as per Andy Strickland… Canucks rumoured to want Luke back on a two year deal. Great add IMO if the price is right. Rathbone - Schenn as a bottom pairing would be legit.

  13. Exactly. People need to stop tuning in to the one note style of sports journalism that the majority of clowns in Vancouver offer. Fans would do themselves a favor by looking at the team with some objectivity rather than the innate bitterness that seemingly permeates so much of how the team and organization is perceived. The team is already considerably better than they were a month ago, and free agency is coming up in a couple of days. AND Brad Shaw is on the coaching staff. What is not to like about the Canucks present situation? Nothing really. I'm excited for the sea

  14. The last important and meaningful games OEL played were in the bubble. In those 9 games he had 5 points, played 23 minutes/night, and had 30 hits. The guy was a monster.

  24. This makes sense as OEL can partner with Myers and Schenn can be on the 3rd pairing with Juolevi/Rathbone. The only question now is who would will be partnering Hughes. Schenn can also move up the lineup if needed. A great character guy and a two time Stanley Cup Champion...

  27. **BREAKING NEWS** CDC has placed @Bertuzzipunch on unconditional waivers for purposes of a buyout. "We feel as though he hasn't lived up to expectations, and he's been given every opportunity to follow through on his promises. We felt a buyout would be best for both parties, so he can continue his career on another thread."
