  2. I hope Gadj and Mac can turn into nhl regulars and take care of their team mates night after night while contributing on the scoresheet too. Reminds me of myself and Gino taking care of business back in 94

  4. This is just the type of thing I see all the time. Even when things are going well there always seems to be a need to twist things and find a negative. What also is bothering are the people that only seem to come outta the woodwork when there’s something negative to talk about. You won’t see this person after a Win. God bless Bieksa. Im so glad he’s one of the good guys. What a great personality for the sport but also with the right moral compass.

  5. You just exposed your lack of intelligent. You just spewed a media narrative. in context, Luongo was asked by the media clowns about a specific save that thomas had made . He answered honestly and said that because he plays deeper in the net that he would have probably made the save whereas thomas was caught way out of his net. The media clowns twisted that into him claiming to be a better goalie than thomas. The next day he was addressing that misconception. He was basically saying that he had not said anything bad about thomas. He at no point said that thomas should pump his tire

  6. The haters are confused they believe we have crappy players but they also think JB should be getting a king’s ransom for them.

  7. For those that missed it, Kevin Bieksa was on the Halford & Brough show this morning and gave a very compelling interview. I highly recommend listening to the full thing: https://www.sportsnet.ca/650/halford-brough-morning/kevin-bieksa-edlers-major-media-covering-canucks-return-play/ Fast forward to 7:50 in... - Media in Vancouver is pretty entitled, in reference to not being allowed to look at two practices coming off Covid. - "If you're not gonna get it right, then don't report it" in reference to false reports about Quinn Hughes needing IV

  9. It doesn't have to. You can make the choice You can chose not to buy it. Why would u? If you see something negative don't read it. It's a waste of your energy. Trust me life is much better when you chose to ignore propaganda If you see propaganda don't consume it and most importantly don't share or spread it. Bless you all dear Canucks nation =)

  10. Be like the Canucks and everyone that has had it; "We do not wish it on anyone" I do not like the Leafs as much as anyone else but the players are people who I wish the best for. With that said I hope all the best for Hyman (SP)

  13. Sorry Arrow but you’re wrong on this one. Luongo even said that Thomas will make saves that he doesn’t. Nobody would’ve thought twice about It if his words weren’t twisted.

  15. As someone who reposts a fair amount of what other media and fans are saying and posting, this conversation got me thinking about my own role. Should we just ignore silly/stupid/wrong things that are said? After all if a tweet gets posted in a forest and there is no one there to read it or repost it, then it has no life. But practically that will never happen as people will still follow those that share their opinions. I think it’s important to know what the media, both good and bad, is saying so that we have an idea of how fans are forming their opinions. It gives us an opportunity

  16. Yeah I’m really not sure why some people feel the need to crap all over players that leave here. I hope Gaudette has a great career and that Highmore has a better one. Trades are judged over time and JB’s reputation will be a collection of hits and misses. I don’t need Gaudette to fail so I can feel good about JB.

  20. From a fundamental perspective these are attractive levels, but yes a lot of bag holders. But I am looking at it more from an investment perspective and not looking to trade it. It pays a div, PE of 10, P/S <1, 88% owned by institutions.. I dunno it may be a decent opportunity to get in on a company that has been beaten up because some dimwits got margin called

  23. I'm still convinced that Rotten Ronnie using HNIC as a platform to slander Burrows is part of what led to the NHL openly rigging that series.

  28. What would have happened if McJesus made a knee on knee the same night, would probably have saved Edler any suspension. ie. They'd have to reduce Connor's to a fine, so they'd have no leg to stand on, pun intended , when it came to Edler. A fine only for Connor for this predatory elbow on Kotkaniemi, a couple of weeks ago, skating half way across the ice to lay this on an unsuspecting player without the puck.

  30. I am like a kid in a candy store, every friggin year........ My priority list is something like......... 1. RHD prospect.............I don't think we are in position to get Clarke, but I like Ceulemans at 18ish, I like Logan Mailloux in the 2nd, and Roman Schmidt as a late 2nd 2. 3rd Line center prospect........this is wide open around where we will draft.........I like Aatu Raty, Chaz Lucius, Cole Sillinger in the 1st, and maybe Fedor Svechkov in the 2nd 3. 1st line LW prospect............Guenther (too high), William Eklund (two small), and Fabian Lysell (two

  31. Weisbrod had a lot of good things to say about Jonah Gadjovich. Makes the work environment safer, "hard" player.

  32. Got to give cudos to Benning for that, it would have been easy to make a safer pick.

  33. Nobody blames doctors, lawyers and garbage men from making the best money they can from their professions, so what’s wrong with doing that if you are a hockey player. You gain some kind of honor by not actualizing your potential, and gain some kind of virtue by not being good enough to get paid?

  34. Have to give Benning credit for this trade. Dropping from the 4th to the 5th round and getting a guy who was decent for Detroit last year and could be a decent right handed depth guy in Van. No way anyone should complain here. Low risk, low reward on the surface but the potential reward here is worth far more than the cost to acquire him. I would love to see him finally put it all together. He was pretty decent for Detroit last year so its not outside possibility.

  35. Very funny? He's more productive this year than Tanner Pearson! Blake Coleman has been less productive, if anything, over his career than Tanner. Also a year older. But CDC would hail him a hero! Well he does kill penalties. I came to say the same thing. Coleman has a few more grey hairs, a 91' baby, one less cup. See above ^^. Its actually not that far out, in way less games & a sep chart of hits and blocks still does not tell a different story;

  36. Here is a quote I picked off of HF Boards, I thought note worthy and well put.................. HOLY what an effort by Karlsson! He finishes the game with a team high 24:06TOI (12:04 in the 3rd!), scored 3G 1A 4Pts, and added 6 shots.Final playoff stats - 11GP 8G 7A 15Pts 45SOGIn his final 3 games of the playoffs..Karlsson scored 5G 4A 9Pts. He wanted it BAD.

  37. If you are ragging on Myers based on the playoffs it’s time to take the blinkers off. his cap hit is big, but the rumoured rate for him was 7mill. Yes 6 mill is a lot but he was our best defender in the playoffs and the only one clearing the crease. you need to separate the cap hit from the player. Is he a good player yes, is his cap hit worth it - that’s open to debate.

  38. yeah - i know - no one loathes that center of the universe arrogance of Toronto more than I do. I remember the days when there was one game a week on HNIC - and it would be wall to wall Leafs. But it's either the Leafs (if they make it out of the North - I'll be hoping for any/every other Canadian team to take them out) - but if they finally survive a playoff round or two - then it's either them or yet another American franchise winning another Stanley Cup south of the border. Lose lose, but I think, unlike those asshats (who did nothing but troll the Canucks in our Cup

  40. I would joke that the Leafs have missed Gardiner's vacancy on the back end and therefore sought out an alternative deer in the headlights... But I like BHut - and think he has relatively recovered the past few seasons from some (correctible) problems in his game. His puck movement here regressed to the point he just could not make sound decisions - confidence looked shattered - wasn't carrying or moving the puck with any assertiveness/confidence. But he's had a couple respectable seasons on not particularly good teams - has become a decent penalty killer - w

  41. I"m probably in the minority but MLB has been dead to me when the Expos owner pulled a Michael Heisley (though I was happy for the Blue Jays win). In a similair vein, same with the Raptors (eg., the whole Grizzlies fiasco).

  42. his 2nd overall pedigree makes it a no-go imo, Philly would want far more, probably this years 1st from us.
