  1. Noted for the upcoming game with Manitoba that Brad lambert is on the roster 3 points in 11 games. AHL is a tough league and these younger players take time to hit their stride. Lots of reason for optimism with Klimovich
  2. Last year was a pretty high cutoff line at 97 in the west and over 100 in the east. Last year there were 5 teams totally out of the playoff chase in the west. Given we are battling for a WC spot best bet for the Canucks is lots of parity in the western conference and that teams don’t drop out of the playoff race too early. Reducing the qualifying level to 92-94 points would really help our playoff hopes.
  3. Considering the grief around the league about being capped out it would really help to see a meaningful salary cap increase after this long period without one.
  4. Tough to imagine we’d allow any more 2 on 1 and breakaway chances
  5. Bo has played with Miller basically all season and plays with hughes and Petey on the power play. He’s been an unbelievable trigger man but how many of Bo’s goals were on chances he created himself?
  6. Virtanen rolling through Europe and saying the best part is I keep getting older and the puck bunnies stay the same age, alright alright alright
  7. It’s about how the parts fit together. Sedins were better together than the sum of their parts. Tough to know if playing the hughes together would make them better.
  8. Nice moment for Boeser to score key goal last night. Not withstanding the false start on the scratch pure economics dictate Boeser and/or Garland are on their way out. Boeser needs a situation where he can play A pure offensive role on line 1 or 2 and power play 1. Probably a situation where his short comings are what they are and to expect meaningful improvements are not likely. Can still go out and have a Jordan Eberle type career but appears short comings could hold him back from being key contributor on a top contender.
  9. Schenn made a really bad clearing pass on one of the early goals. Canucks couldn’t handle the Panthers pressure in all three zones. I wonder out loud if we have a video coach or scout team because we had to know it was coming. I don’t know maybe provide the players some guidance on ways to safely relieve the pressure? Very frustrating
  10. Not near orange enough or pointy enough to make a good pylon. Atleast a pylon gets run into once in a while
  11. So why are they hard to play against and we are a cake walk? Are radko Gudas, Marc stall and josh mahura that much better than our bottom 3 dmen? All these guys have been basically waived at some point in the last 3 years by crappy hockey teams. Put our junk on Florida in their spots and I’m sure the results are better than what we just witnessed
  12. It’s team structure as much as poor defense. Florida was forcing turnovers all over the ice through smarts and structure and made it look like checkers vs chess. Sure the panthers have some studs but they are also dressing some borderline nhl guys.
  13. I know that trade was a lot about subtracting Dickinson but damn time to stop loss and quit playing stillman. We might as well kept OJ and atleast the pucks he could get to would have intelligent plays behind them
  14. I think the not going on ltir bit cost him getting jersey retired by Canucks. I’ll settle for some lou’s instead of boos but no doubt best goalie in franchise history
  15. Good for him great response to the recent adversity
  16. I put stay put but if Horvat’s not re-signed the only choice is to make a trade as we are in no position for him to be an “own rental”
  17. Maybe I’m too ignorant on Soccer but i was trying to relate it to Canada playing trap against Latvia in Hockey
  18. I kind of hope USA scores a late one on England. England’s boring plodding style especially first half was disappointing
