I don’t think you get my point. Fandom can be awesome, or stressful. But when it comes right down to it, it’s just entertaining, it won’t change our life in any fundamental way. It is what it is. Non sport fans may binge on tv series. How is that different? It’s not. They do their escapist thing for fun. Like us hockey fans, I’m sure they go on entertainment forums to critique shows etc and face rebuttals like us hockey fans do,

No. Missing the point entirely. I am old. I have followed this team for 50 years. Regardless of the drama, poor drafting, really shitty trades, missed opportunities- I am still a fan. it’s just a game. It has nothing to do with regular life, don’t bother comparing it. It’s entertainment.

Ok, I don’t think anyone has mentioned this, but it really should be McDonalds. Because like the Canucks season so far, it looks good and when you start consuming it, it feels good. But, by the end of the meal (game) you feel nauseous.
