[Signing] Ducks sign Olli Juolevi

He just did not pan out for us. Injuries or lack of drive who knows? Not defending him or lamenting his lack of success. It is what it is. Best of luck to the kid. -

An offer sheet usually includes a longer term contract not based on the current one he has . -
Which Canuck were you wrong about? Good or Bad?
CaptKirk888 replied to danjr's topic in Canucks Talk
Yes, Glen Wesley. Played almost 1500 games. -

I thought Patrick White was going to take us all the way jk -
Once again stats. Bowman won 5 cups with an absolutely stacked Montreal team in the 70s. Then in the 80s never went very far with the Sabres, one conference final, no cup appearances, last season missed playoffs, fired mid next season. Then on to another stacked penguins team early 90s, Lemieux, Jagr etc, 2 cups. Then on to another stacked Detroit team of the 90s, Yzerman, Federof, Shannahan, Lidstrom etc. More cups. Bowman was a great coach but was successful with very talented teams when he came in those organizations. Boudreau on the other hand led less talented teams to reach greater heights (similar to the Canucks this year) during the regular season. So come playoff time more talent laden teams with good coaching succeeded. His coaching was awesome, but there is only so much you can do.... with what you have.

Irrelevant. Neither you nor I know if they would have made it with BB if he had had the whole season. Weak answer, discuss

You are not much on stats are you. BB's winning % is second to Scotty Bowman. I don't know how more elite you want?

[GDT] Around the NHL | April/May (24-01) 2022

It’s just a game. They’ll bounce back. I don’t think the NHL’s future is reliant on Vegas making the show. -

The tie breaker is 'RW' not ROW. We would have 34 to Dallas' 30 -

RW Tie-Breaking Procedure If two or more clubs are tied in points during the regular season, the standing of the clubs is determined in the following order: The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage). The greater number of games won, excluding games won in Overtime or by Shootout (i.e., "Regulation Wins"). This figure is reflected in the RW column. The greater number of games won, excluding games won by Shootout. This figure is reflected in the ROW column. The greater number of games won by the Club in any manner (i.e, "Total Wins"). This figure is reflected in the W column. The greater number of points earned in games against each other among two or more tied clubs. For the purpose of determining standing for two or more Clubs that have not played an even number of games with one or more of the other tied Clubs, the first game played in the city that has the extra game (the "odd game") shall not be included. When more than two Clubs are tied, the percentage of available points earned in games among each other (and not including any "odd games") shall be used to determine standing. The greater differential between goals for and against (including goals scored in Overtime or awarded for prevailing in Shootouts) for the entire regular season. This figure is reflected in the DIFF column. The greater number of goals scored (including goals scored in Overtime or awarded for prevailing in Shootouts) for the entire regular season. This figure is reflected in the GF column. -

The first scenario is the best bet. I can actually see that happening. Us winning 4 in a row is not impossible. I don’t see LA losing all of their last 3. -

And with that season and lineup you would expected a good playoff run, even cup contention. Alas Gretzky, Kurri and a very good LA team would end that. Then we have a down year in 93-94 and go to the final, go figure... -

Only one 30 goal scorer currently. Although I have no doubt J.T. and Petey will come through..
