  1. You should take into account that Benn played for a better team (defence and offensive) on which the majority of his teammates were also on the up side of the +/-
  2. That doesn’t work either as American based teams have dominated the nhl for years ha ha
  3. This is the best post you have made here in CDC imo. I can’t disagree with anything you said. Cheers.
  4. In all fairness Alf, Benning traded away our 2nd round the first two years (2015 & 2016) but we had two 2nd round picks the following year (2017) and our normal 2nd rounder in 2018. So since he has started, we are only down one 2nd rounder (which unfortunately turned out to be Rasmus Andersson for Calgary in 2015, who had a decent rookie season last year). But otherwise, as we all know (Tomatoes included), he has made some great picks these past 3 drafts.
  5. You quoted 2 names = tons. I know you are just on here to have your fun. Though your comments are quite irritating to most, I understand you have your differing opinion. To anyone who disagrees with Tomatoes, you must realize you are just entering a vicious circle.
  6. I’m not sure where you got that number, as there were over 90 players turning 33 or older this past season on the active rosters of the 31 teams, 35 of those were dmen
  7. Actually more than 40 times over. https://www.capfriendly.com/players/alexander-edler
  8. https://www.nhl.com/news/vegas-golden-knights-expansion-draft-roster/c-290043004 Jason Garrison, D -- Garrison, 32 Deryk Engelland, D -- Engelland, 35 David Schlemko, D -- Schlemko, 30 Marc Methot, D -- Methot, 32 Clayton Stoner, D -- Stoner, 32 Alexei Emelin, D -- Emelin, 31 Just sayin…
  9. Why does anyone think trading Boeser is a good idea? He is a legitimate goal scorer, is decent defensively and is growing as a playmaker. The best is yet to come.
  10. Thanks for the advice. Once again, different opinions. I think we will do just fine raising our child with the advice of the many medical professionals we have. You have a good life now friend, ado.
  11. If that were the case, you might refrain from calling someone ‘anti-gay’ because their opinion differs from yours. That, mate, is very judgemental and based on what? You don’t know me to judge me (and you shouldn’t anyhow). i know if I spent the time, I could find an equal number of psychologists who strongly agree with gender assignment, including the one with whom our our family works. Clearly we have different beliefs, and I am not going to say who is wrong or right. It’s not my place to do so. I will leave you with those thoughts, have a good night.
  12. I’m done. You are young I’m guessing. Respond again in 20 or so years when you realize you are not always right.
  13. Can any of you speak from personal experience? I also don’t think any of you really read my posts, I never said a 11 or 13 year old was making the decision. The decision is made by the parents with guidance from doctors/child psychologists. I also feel a lot of judgement and opposition in your responses, which leads me to think you might be a bit close minded. Guys, I am 54 years old and have had a lot of life experience and don’t take this subject lightly, but nor will I judge another or their family when I don’t know the entire circumstances. and sorry canuckistani, that last statement is over the top.
  14. Well I am educated as I am going thru the process now with my child. And you can be less of a dick. Parents who are responsible will not start hormone therapy until the time I mentioned, nor will any reputable doctor do so either.
  15. Well, I am guessing you are young and still learning. My question was not hypothetical, it is reality. Your comparison is nonsensical as it compares a child’s vivid imagination to another child’s very real feelings of orientation.
  16. Also, as they say, walk a mile in someone else’s shoes, then tell me how you feel.
  17. Now that is really stupid. But thanks for sharing.
  18. They are still not making that decision on their own. I was simply pointing out that these decisions are not made by a 3 year old, or for that matter a 11 - 13 year old without proper treatment and guidance. Image you are a father who has a son that has identified as a female from the age of 3 and still identifies as such several years later. Will you support your child or deny what they feel is truly their gender orientation?
  19. No medical doctor or psychiatrist involved in treatment of gender dysphoria would allow hormone treatment until the child almost reaches puberty. Typically between the ages of 11 - 13. Which allows several years of guidance and treatment to confirm congruence. So a three year old is not making this decision nor are the 3 year old’s parents allowing such a situation to occur.
