  1. So glad the Lions have a proper O line this year, makes such a huge difference. Rourke has been great, I went to the Hamilton game which was arguably his worst game of the season. Even when he's not 'On' he's still pretty good. The defense won us this game, which is what good teams will do. If one area is struggling the other will pick it up. I don't know if we're good enough to beat the Bombers or Stampeders in the playoffs, but I am really enjoying the season thus far. Lucky Whitehead is a class act too, came out to the fans at home and in Regina for autographs and pictures. Really liking the personalities on this team.
  2. First Concert: Gob, Croatian Cultural Centre in maybe 1995 or 1996? Last Concert: U2 Best Concert: Nine Inch Nails, Tension 2013 Tour. Or maybe Rage Against the Machine in 1996. Hard to pick! Worst Concert: Radiohead - bunch of self-absorbed dicks who kept yelling at the crowd. I had free tickets and wish I hadn't gone. Loudest Concert: Metallica Seen the Most: Nine Inch Nails Most Surprising: Josh Radin with the wife. I lean towards Industrial/Alternative/Metal, but he was surprisingly entertaining and talented. Next Concert: Nine Inch Nails, September 2022 in Las Vegas Wish I Could Have Seen: Tool, A Perfect Circle
  3. The Lions have re-signed Bryan Burnham. Glad to have him back! With MR retiring, hopefully they can shore up the rest of the team a bit.
  4. New worldNew timesMutationFeels all right - Nine Inch Nails, 2018 Love the win - so happy with the way the team is playing
  5. Elks just fired their president, GM and coach. I wonder what the Lions will do.
  6. The Lions are definitely too pass happy and predictable. I miss the days of a healthy Dave Dickenson/Geroy Simon/Joe Smith offense. Very difficult to stop.
  7. Lions got smacked by the Bombers. Can really see the difference in talent and cohesiveness between the two clubs. If the Bombers don't win the Grey Cup, I'll be shocked. Most complete team in the CFL by far. I hope the Lions take advantage of their bye week and regroup. They can't afford to fall too far behind now.
  8. That's a great analogy, and really fits how those fans are. They win, they complain about the other team, the reffing, or anything else. They lose, they complain about the other team, the reffing, or anything else. A seriously annoying fanbase.
  9. That was a rough, rough loss. I was at the game, right on the goal line but the stupid TSN camera rig was in the way so I couldn't see the decisive Rider TD. 3 bad plays led to that loss, and I think the Lions win that one 9/10 times if the scenario is like that again with 3 mins remaining. Lions seemed like the more talented team but much more raw, Riders made some veteran plays and took advantage. Anyway, it still stings and Rider fans are the worst. They are the TML fans of the CFL with their posts and entitlement. I will really be cheering for the Riders to lose pretty much every game they play from here on out :D
  10. Well, I was glad to be wrong in my prediction for last game. Wasn't counting on Michael starting, and the defence was awesome. Hope they keep it up against Edmonton.
  11. That was quite the effort the Lions put in vs the Riders to nearly come back, but it's already next game time. Lions vs Stamps tonight. Hate to say it, but I think we take an L in this one as well. Reilly is not starting and Mitchell always seems to play well against us.
  12. I hate to say it but I think the Riders win tonight. It will take a few games for the Lions to find their stride.
  13. I enjoy watching random CFL games as well. Not a Bomber fan but I do like Bighill.
  14. Lions play the Riders tonight. Anyone else excited for the Lions to finally start playing?
  15. Too many bad memories from 2011. He's also old and slowing down... pass
  16. October 28, 2003. I used to have a few thousand posts, but now I have a lot less apparently. I mostly just lurk now.
  17. Hope the zebras don't try to tilt this game like they did with the last one. GCG.
  18. Working from home full-time. Our office is calling for 15% to return to the office country-wide through the summer months, but I will probably be WAH since I don't need to be there. Love being at home and not wasting time commuting, spending money on food/gas, etc.
  19. Probably deserved a better ending. Outshot the Oilers and if the power play connects even once, we win this game. Also, super annoying broadcast tonight. It was like an Oilers network game or something. They just would not shut up about McDavid. It was like the Canucks weren't even on the ice.
  20. Very excited about this upcoming season. Reilly is an awesome quarterback and even though he played for the hated Eskimos, I couldn't help cheering for him and wishing him nothing but the best. He should gel quite well with Burnham and Carter. Hoping the Lions can make a run at a title this year
  21. I love seeing Quick getting exposed by a skilled Sharks offense. Also love seeing Doughty lose. Two of the most arrogant, dislikeable players I can think of getting humbled. Keep it up Sharks!
  22. Lions aren't playing particularly well, but this reffing is completely one-sided.
  23. Edit: this one may be a bit too obscure...
  24. Correct! Too easy, I guess. Maybe I'd better go back a few years..
  25. Yes! Liked him as a Canuck. How about:
