Sbisa's is gone...was awful
Both goalies contracts are terrible for 2 players have never been starters in the league..
Tanevs was a real good signing.
Whats kind of amazing to me is....all the bad ones you've listed were called out as bad the day they were signed.
How come the GM couldn't see this ?

I hope you're right...but have seen nothing that allows me to share your optimism.
IMO he will have some great games that will keep everyone talking of his potential...But has been prone to let in stinkers...and this team is not good enough to overcome avg goaltending...
Been spoiled here for too long.
Lets check back around the Holidays..

anything from 6-8 yrs under 6 would be a great deal...particularily for the team. Bo is becoming the face of the franchise, and signing long term over a bridge deal will only help with endorsments etc. Also, should benefit the team in having a solid foundation to attract other players around the league. The club should have no reservations whatsoever about commiting long term to Bo. He is quality person/teammate in every sense of the word and brings many intangibles that don't appear in the stats or corsi ratings... Glad to know he will be a Canuck for the better part of the next decade or so.

Loui will be our most improved player this year IMO... Probably our most talented forward with Bo...would like to see them play together, with Boeser getting the first look on RW. Boeser playing w/ 2 really responsible 2 way players could make for a decent #1 line the next couple years.

Gaudette's gonna be 21 in a couple months.... time to sign a contract and turn pro to see what we have. Older than Boeser/Virtanen...just 6 months younger than Bo. Don't see the advantage of playing vs 17-18 yr olds in college for another yr. Kesler 2.0 or Cole Cassels ? Looked real good the other nite...

Bennings comments to the media were the first intelligent thing he's done media wise since arriving. Lets the Miller camp know that he will be paid as a "back up" (no more than 3 mil) if he chooses to resign here. Honestly don't see any of the Ca teams paying more than that for a back up. He has few options(of his own doing)...take advantage of it. He got his big $$ here already.

Don't think Tanev gets Drouin or Reinhart alone. Don't even think adding CBJ 2nd helps enough. I would add our 2nd for either. Think Buff's #8 this year w/CBJ 2nd might get it done. Would prob be a gamble worth taking...getting out of draft with a top C and D. Does Tanev and #5 get #2 or #3 ? Think would rather have #5 and #8 ...Vilardi or Glass and 1 of the Dmen would be a good haul. We somehow need to find a way to acquire some top end talent...no more 2-3rd line role players

There is no question that the team intends to keep OJ in the NHL next season. From many reputable reports, JB made every effort to move Hutton prior to this years deadline. I would expect we start to hear the same rumors prior to the entry draft. Hutton obviously has more trade value prior to the ED than he will after.

Looks tentative and lost out there... hopefully still the illness and lack of familiarity....but doesn't look good at all.

Think Stetcher has been one of the few real positives to come from this season. Probably is running out of gas a little, but love his work ethic and motor. Combined with his great attitude, look for him to come back a year older,wiser and stronger, and be a fixture in our top 4 for many years. Not bad for a FA agent signing. Need more with consistent effort like he and Bo. If only some of the vets would bring the same effort every shift...especially our so called role models.

He won't fit on our PP where we're coached to stay in one spot the entire shift as to not confuse the defenders.

Hope Boeser is everything the people in here hope for. My only real look at him was in last years World Jr tournament. His performance in that tournament was very underwhelming.. He looked a step slow and very small and easy to knock off the puck against the top players in his age group. I agree that he looks dominant at the college level, and that has translated very well for players with similar #'s. There are a lot more who have not translated as well. I really hope we get lucky with this pick(and Demko)....god knows we deserve it. He seems like a real good kid too.
