  1. you move Kesler, you lose your dRiver of the team. Weber, meanwhile is one of the top 4 dmens in the league, is one valuable piece that can change a lot. Really hoping Gillis could find another "driver" of the team if they do move Kesler. This team is losing it's energy.
  2. know what would make him clutch? putting him through Gary Roberts' programs
  3. That's like asking why Marleau and Thonrnton wasn't moved in the Sharks' retool
  4. Wonder how Cody would feel if the Sedins got traded to Buffalo? Does anyone know if they have clauses in their new contract?
  5. Didn't know this was the topic to start shooting out proposals... thought it was all discussion I saw the name Garrison out there.. yeah, he's not the type of guy that we were hoping for, it's great he can replace Sami's hard shots... but I've once mentioned this: Edler needed a guy like Ehrhoff Garrison needed a guy like Campbell We don't have "that guy" It's either Edler or Garrison and provided that Garrison was such a "big" signing in the summer during FA - and being a homer Gillis is, it's best not to move guys like Garrison, Hamhuis. Bieksa is a tough part because he's been a Canuck his whole career, he has the grit and tenacity, the leadership, and a nice shot - it's simply too hard to move him. Edler has been solid. But the reality is, a young solid top 6 potential forward (like Kane/Niederreiter/Coyle) is something we have to gear up for. As much Jensen has been starting to heat up, an unknown potential to Shinkaruk, there are simply no more wingers we can provide as call up. I hope that if Gillis is gonna make a move for a young player, it's a player with speed and grit with the ability to finish on the wing. I don't see a need for centers, cause grabbing a center is more a need for this season. You have couple options to slot in as C for next season - Gaunce (Goc prototype imo)/Horvat/Fox (Shaw prototype once he's playing against men more). Then again there's Lain and possibly Labate (6'6" / or 6'7") centermens that can play on your 4th. Doubt Richardson would go anywhere. Daniel - Henrik - Burrows "young potential top 6 player"- Kesler - Kassian -Higgins- - Santorelli - Jensen Archibald - Richardson - Grenier Then you got the likes of Lain/Labate/Gaunce/Fox as fill ins We need them wingers!

^ He's right! ...Ask an be nice about it and you might get your wish. Granted your not a chronic or habitual-name-changer.

  7. eventually when the Sedins are gone and ROR decides to stay with us long term - i see him playing on the wing of Kesler if or when Horvat can pivot line 2 one day unfortunately whether it's sakic's tactics to get lebrun shooting out the asking price/whatsoever, seems like ROR could be kept with them until the summer to make a run this April
  8. Gaunce or Jensen would be the highest prospects I would give I'd like to see Shinkaruk and Horvat pan out
  9. TFP 's report on asking price for E. Kane is: two top-6 forwards with a high-end prospect or pick OR one roster player, one high-end prospect and a first round pick. Tbh, I don't even know who to call our top 6 forwards other than the Sedins & Kesler.
  10. ever wondered if Tanev doesn't want to play for Torts? He & Edler aren't Tort's type of players
  11. schenn models his game after mike richards ... hope he turns up better than schenn
  12. ugh ... getting his jersey ... hmmm .........
  13. how much do those usually cost? i was hoping a friend of mine can find me a Horvat t-shirt while she's in London ... those exist? or jerseys only
  14. Ruff & Arniel is packaged. How i see it is ... its up to Gillis whether he wants to gamble with someone sparking up the team (Torts) and someone that can develop their players (Stevens) Torts communication = team spark Stevens communication = brings the best out of individuals but if Gillis is only having the 2nd interview with Torts to go over about handling media in Vancouver ... seems imminent that Torts will be the next coach i just want this coach thing to be over with and focus on Luongo front and signing Tanev
  15. He wanted to coach a young team, MG said. Plus, considering his personal relationship with bieksa and others, maybe it wasn't that good of an idea. Oilers are a great fit for the guy. would hate to see how well this guy will do against us though :/ hope he turns out a Boucher now. >
  16. another top defensive forward nomination? oh friesen.
