  1. So after five games the Lions are 2-3. Good thing this is the CFL so it doesn't really matter.
  2. In the last two games the Lions have played one and a half quarters of great football and six and a half quarters of mediocre football. Strange.
  3. Lulay's mid to long passing game has really been lacking in this game.
  4. Where would this team be without Harris?
  5. 21 points. The most dangerous lead in football. Sigh. When do we play Saskatchewan again?
  6. Bighill is having a big game. But is Elimimian playing? Don't think I've heard his name.
  7. I think both teams could have been penalized several times in this game for their receivers being past the line before the ball is snapped.
  8. Great first quarter but nothing much since. Let's hope they get back to form in the 4th.
  9. Nothing to do with the Whitecaps but it sounds like it was quite a game between Seattle and Portland the other day: http://www.si.com/planet-futbol/video/2015/06/17/seattle-sounders-clint-dempsey-ejection-red-card-rips-notebook?xid=nl_siextra
  10. An entertaining first half. Both teams could have had more goals. Hope they keep it up in the second.
  11. I thought Mattocks and Waston had good first halves. The rest: so-so. Need to make some adjustments up front to get some kind (any kind!) of scoring pressure.
  12. At the start of the season they had games starting at 3:00. Wonder why they didn't shift this one.
  13. They bring Waston up but, thus far this season, he has been ineffective. Maybe that will change tonight?
  14. It's not just you. If the Caps can start to generate goals off corners and if Manneh and Mattocks can learn to consistently finish, this team could blow out more than a few MLS teams.
  15. The CFL is making some significant rule changes for the upcoming season: http://www.cfl.ca/article/major-rule-changes-approved-by-cfl-governors Converts from the 32 yard line? About time.
  16. It was a nice win. But LA, thus far, doesn't seem to be the LA of seasons past. Their record this year is 1-2-2. They have a way to go before they can be called a top team. But it was still nice to beat 'em.
  17. Any idea how they calculate time of possession? Is it how long the ball is in each side's half? Or do they have a guy with a stopwatch trying to keep track of who has the ball?
  18. The Whitecaps have moved to #1 on the Sports Illustrated MLS power rankings: http://www.si.com/planet-futbol/2015/03/30/mls-power-rankings-week-4-vancouver-whitecaps-harry-shipp-fifa?xid=nl_siextra
  19. It's early days, but the Whitecaps are Number 3 on Sports Illustrated's MLS power rankings: http://www.si.com/planet-futbol/2015/03/23/mls-power-rankings-week-3-fc-dallas-san-jose-avaya-stadium?xid=nl_siextra
  20. That seems to be the opinion of Sports Illustrated, too, in their critique of every MLS uniform: http://www.si.com/planet-futbol/photos/2015/03/02/mls-jerseys-uniforms-kits-major-league-soccer/10
  21. Entertainment value: 3 stars out of 5. Not a bad game, not a great game. Great start by Rivero. But some of the other Caps have to start scoring.
  22. And so Arsenal is bounced once again from the CL in the round of 16. They had their chances today but couldn't overcome that dismal game last month. And the late last goal in that game by Monaco. If they had held it to a 2-1 loss....... If, if , if.....
