Yep. The Caps just don't have a player who, when he gets the ball, makes you think he might score. They have no player that gets you excited when he gets the ball. The young forwards, fast as they are, likely as not will stumble over the ball when they get it. Occasionally a midfielder will make a decent shot. Their best chance at scoring in this last part of the season has been trying to get a penalty shot.
And even if they squeak into the playoffs, there's no reason to expect they'll get past the wild card round.
Considering how the season started, quite disappointing.
